  1. The Vikings are decent, and their win over the Panthers, while sloppy and pretty much given to them by Gamble, was somewhat impressive. Their win over the Redskins, who look terrible right now, was not as much. I predict a closer game then the first two, but by the end of the game it will be clear who is winning the NFC North. Bears 23 Vikings 13

I have this video on my computer: http://media.scout.com/Media/Image/17/170559.jpg
  3. Based on his comments since he's left the north side, I would consider it highly unlikely that he comes back to the team. I also think its highly unlikely that the Cubs persue him in FA.
  4. Obviously Bonds has always been a great hitter, pre and post steroids. I think that his numbers are pretty damn good considering his age and the shape that his knee is in. But while Bonds has always shown an amazing eye and pitch selection, you gotta think the aura of Barry Bonds has caused many pitchers to pitch around the slugger.
  5. I almost cried when I saw his comments. The man is beaten and bruised mentally right now. All the best to the Lee family.
  6. Gotta like how Hill is still attacking, without watching that tells me that he has his good stuff still
  7. Not that its huge news, but Rich Hill hitting for himself. I repeat, we have a chance for a CG!!!
  8. Yes, but since its a sports team that I cheer for , its utterly plausible
  9. Well Michigan's red zone offense is taking lessons from the Bears, can't put it away with a FG, but did get 4 scores up with a FG
  10. The reds starter went to ND too. Brilliant!
  11. At 100 through 8. If he doesn't get in a lot of trouble, knowing Dusty he'll be allowed 20 pitches in the 9th
  12. NEVERMIND INT!!! Quinn's Heisman hopes are fading as quickly as ND's national championship hopes.
  13. Yup, you can feel the momentum shifting squarely to ND's side and its crushing me. Lets say when Michigan scored to make it 34-7, on a 10 to -10 scale, the momentum was 10 for Michigan. ND scores quickly before the half and its 7 Michigan. Manningham is out for the game, its 3 Michigan. Now Michigan can't move the ball, is tucking the ball away and going into conservative mode, its 1 Michigan. ND moves the ball in this possession and get points, its on NDs side.
  14. Close. 5-2 with a 3.05 since the ASB
  15. Majewski got Sotowned. Is it a rule that our backup catcher's last name has to end in an O so we can say "_____wned"
  16. To be fair, everyone has the Lions covering 8 points, not necessarily winning. Which, given even the common Bears M/O from last year (averaging 14 pts per game offensively), is a big line. Harmon's Forecast did predict the Bears to go 0-17 last year, though (predicted a loss each week, including the playoffs...hey, they were right 6 times). Was Harmons picking ATS too? If not I can't see how they'd pick against the Bears when they played SF and NO
  17. I would think that what we see as the #1 priority will never be what Angelo sees. Didn't he have a reputation of ignoring O line in Tampa? First priority is extending Briggs, Vasher, and Tommie Harris. The D is the identity of the team, the strength of the team. They have to keep these guys to stay at such a dominant level. Even a minor drop off in defense could kill this team because the offense while improved, isn't near strong enough. Priority #2 is the O-Line. Hopefully one of these young receivers can establish themself as a big time player so priority #3 won't have to be a WR. i get the feeling that angelo isnt going to re-sign briggs. he's arrogant enough to think that he can replace briggs like he replaced colvin. You and me both. I don't think he'll be back after this year.
  18. BTW, just wanted to let you guys know that for the second day in a row, i turned down a free ticket to the game along with 2 Old Styles even though I live 10 minute walk away and have nothing better to do.
  19. He takes off days every now and again since it seems like his wrist is indeed not fully healed. But it seems like hes missed most of this week... I could be imagining things though
  20. Is Lee hurt again or something? Did he play yesterday? Help out an apathetic inattentive Cub fan please
  21. However, I was also noticing that Grossman wasn't getting a lot of pass protection from his line.
  22. Those walks will kill you every time btw.
  23. Oof, didn't think about that yet. The O-line was very pedestrian last Sunday. Thats something we should look at in the coming weeks. In 2004, the O-line was awful. The Bears only made a play for a couple of aging players that offseason, and they responded with an above average season last year. I wasn't too thrilled that the Bears chose to stand pat there this offseason with the worry about deteriorating skills.
