This loss will put us on pace for a 62-100 season. Great job guys! BTW, We haven't lost 100 in a season since the 60's. This might be the worst Cubs team in 40 years, and that says a lot.

After watching this series this weekend, I'd debate that "good manager" part. He seems to motivate better then Dusty. Obviously unquantifiable, but their turnaround did begin after Leyland's little tirade in April

Many Pirates fans have seen their team win a World Series Most Royals fans have as well The Devil Rays are way too young to have misery. These teams are small market and always have the hope that they can build a farm system that will lead them to glory. Because of the Cubs nature of terrible big market spending, they will never have the great farm system other teams have because they will trade away most decent prospects in order to 'compete' -

I didn't see Dustys reaction or anything, but the quick hook and the patheticness of his start, I could see it happening. I'll give them credit, they did eventually DFA Macais, Borowski and Remlinger in the past.
