I think the ESPYs are on afterwords Oh, I thought it had something to do with the Gay Games or something. I know the closing ceremonies are supposed to be held at Wrigley.
If we run the table, we can still finish 108-54 If we go 56-18 (.757) we can still win 90! I really wonder if JH considers these numbers when he says stuff like "we can still go on a run, gotta play the vets"
No one is going to argue that those numbers are good, but they don't suggest that he will be useless in the majors. In a horrible horrible attempt to justify this: http://www.thebaseballcube.com/players/S/Sammy-Sosa.shtml
Why in the "bleeeeeeeeeeeep" does this idiot insist on playing guys who don't have along term future with the Cubs. Play Murton already you moron. I would argue that Pagan *could potentially* have a long term future with the Cubs, given that they probably see him as high as Murton at this point.
Lineup per ESPN1000: Pierre, CF Walker, 2B Lee, 1B Ramirez, 3B Jones, RF Barrett, C Pagan, LF Cedeno, SS Maddux, P As I reported in transactions, Prior is on the DL, Theriot up.
Isn't it 7? They won their last 3 games and didn't play Monday-Thursday. That's 4 days off. Last time I checked, 3 + 4 = 7. Whoops, forgot they actually won 3 in a row.
Ok ummm so lets get good hitters then. If Hendry thinks that we need good hitters, then lets get us some good hitters and stop signing the Jock Jones' (based on his previous track record) of the world
I don't know if it helps at all but I remember the exact game you are referring to. Jason Dubois hit a sac fly in his first eagerly anticipated plate appearence to tie things before Alou homered. Also, I clearly remember this game being on ESPN. Maybe you might want to try to contact MLB.com. I know starting in 2003 they used to archive games with MLB.tv. I was able to watch games from the 2003 season well into 2004. They might still have the game on archive. This probably offers absolutely no help to you, but I thought I'd add input.
Yes, Jason Lane. Mr .205. Well his OBP this year despite the .205 average is .330, which is seemingly mediocre, but on the Cubs, that would bit him in the top third of the lineup. Also, he has 11 HRs this year, hit 26 last year, so he has some pop in his bat. He was sent down to AAA right now after 2.5 full seasons in the majors, so he is getting the Corey Patterson treatment on that roster. Buy low for once?
I thought this thread was for second half predictions, so I'm gonna post mine anyways. This is assuming that Zambrano's injury only causes him to miss 1-2 starts. 32-42 Finish 66-96
