    I certainly don't hate him, but I can never forget that play either. I embrace him for the player and character he is, but I will never love him for that* *Unless he is on a Cubs World Series winning team.

    Man, how many called strikes have we seen today? I know we love patience here, but Arroyo is just attacking the strike zone today and getting ahead of our guys who aren't swinging. We should have had a more agressive approach today.

    We could be the Reds. Or the Astros. Or the Pirates. Or the Cardinals. Reds = WS Champ in 1990 Astros = NL Champ in 2005 Pirates = WS Champ in 1979 Cardinals = WS Champ in 2006 They are heading the same places as us, but at least they have those accomplishments to look back on during their travels to nowheresville I know you are perennially pessimistic, but to say the Reds and Pirates are going the same place as the Cubs is patently absurd. I know :)

    Remember when we were all kinda bracing for the Cubs to cool down and return to the old Cubs but we were kinda hoping that it was for real. Well it might not be. Hill and Marquis are slumping, the offense can't hit, and we've hit 8 HRs in July, last in the league. Time to worry is now.

    Yes, they'd really call it. That's exactly what the rule calls for, assuming the rain persists all night. Didn't they change the rules recently? I swear there have been more suspended games this season than previously... If its tied after 5 now or if the road team takes the lead in the top half of the inning, the game is suspended
