    I was at that game in the bleachers and also got pelted by beer. Everyone in the bleachers was litering the field with garbage.

    A- Corey isnt worth that much. His lifetime OBP is lower than Neifi Perez's now. The guy is just a bum. B- We thankfully dont need more OFs. C- I would become a Cardinal fan. (ok, i wouldnt...but i would be very very angry.) On a happy note, Jon Leicester was one of the guys brought up to replace some of the Orioles DL cats. Nice to see him reappear after some serious type surgery. Hopefully he will do well. yeah, he's a "bum" for not having a .400 OBP. man, he must eat fetuses in his spare time. i bet he's the cause of global warming, too! watch out everyone.... corey patterson is coming to eat your children, even those that are still in the womb. he and that "headcase" kyle farnsworth will probably team up. what will we do? Yeah but its not even a .300 OBP. Its .297 for his career. That's pathetic and yes it makes him a bum

    I'm guessing that he has a lot less time to hang around during the regular season. When he is in Arizona for spring training, he's presumably not with his family so all he has to do is write about the Cubs and search for interesting story lines. During the season, he has to write a column per game, spend several hours at the ballpark interviewing players and watching the game and then come home and spend time with his family.

    They have the impairment thing, at least for alcohol. In Arizona, they have a device that they force you to install in your car if you have a DUI where you actually have to blow a 0.03 or lower for the ignition to start. Obviously it would be unconstitutional to force everyone to install such a device, but its a start.

    He ripped a line drive to the opposite field, I'll take that as a result of the approach. i won't... his approach is awful. He's been swinging early in every at bat and not coincidentally, he hasn't had productive at bats. How can you fault him for swinging at a good pitch and hammering it? If he pops up a borderline strike on the first pitch, then fine, but a good pitch to hit is a good pitch at 0-0 and 2-1. Not if the catchers CERA is really high.

    can't imagine why, given our lights-out closer and our stellar record in close games Actually Dempster was a very shaky closer last year and far from lights-out. Also our record is one run games is actually 0-6, no where near stellar. In fact you could say its the exact opposite of stellar Again.....sarcasm. I know, I was poking fun at the previous lack of sarcasm detection ;)

    Well I didn't see the game, but I am assuming by statistical breakdown that he threw much better Game: 6 IP 6 H 3 BB 4 ER 4 K 1st inning: 1 IP 3 H 2 BB 4 ER 1 K Innings 2-6: 5 IP 3 H 1 BB 0 ER 3 K
