  1. Looks like another pathetic performance against a mediocre lefty
  2. Gosh, it seems like all Ramirez tries to do is hit HRs these days. That swing had serious upper cut
  3. Man the Cardinals are really pissing me off. They aren't that good, how the heck are they freaking winning
  4. Nasty pitch to K Lee. Ugh this is going to be another long night
  5. For Javy Vasquez at that. I remember all my Sox fans bragging about getting Vazquez the year after they won it...saying stuff like 'Kenny makes all the right moves, how come your GM doesn't make great moves like this?'
  6. 2-1 Diamondbacks
  7. Damn Byrnes, get it done Clark
  8. My predictions Cubs @SFG(2) (1-1) @AZ(3) (1-2) MIL(3) (2-1) HOU(3) (2-1) LA(4) (2-2) @PIT(3) (2-1) STL(1) (1-0) @HOU(3) (1-2) @STL(4) (2-2) CIN(3) (2-1) PIT(3) (1-2) @FLA(3) (1-2) @CIN(3) (2-1) 20-18 (84-78) Brewers @AZ(1) (0-1) @SF(3) (1-2) @CHI(3) (1-2) PIT(3) (2-1) HOU(3) (3-0) @CIN(3) (1-2) @PIT(3) (1-2) CIN(3) (2-1) @HOU(3) (2-1) @ATL(4) (1-3) STL(3) (1-2) SD(4) (2-2) 17-19 (82-80) Cardinals FLA(2) (0-2) ATL(3) (1-2) @HOU(3) (2-1) CIN(3) (2-1) PIT(4) (3-1) @AZ(3) (1-2) @CHI(1) (0-1) @CIN(3) (2-1) CHI(4) (2-2) PHI(3) (1-2) HOU(4) (3-1) @MIL(3) (2-1) @NYM(1) (0-1) @PIT(3) (1-2) 20-20 (80-82)
  9. Still though, we have 3 players with 40 HR potential (and 2 of them have within the last 2 seasons), another 2 players that have hit 27 or more HRs the last 2 seasons. Unfortunately, other than that we have negligible power
  10. I bet it's decent as Santo usually sings in non-marquee games where they can't get a celeb, so its usually against bad teams. However, this isn't always the case
  11. This quote in the Suntimes made me laugh Haha, nice move trying to dump him off on the Cards or Brewers
  12. I wanted to post this early because I am excited at the thought of Webb and his 42 straight scoreless innings going against the Brew Crew Brewers (Suppan 4.89 ERA) @ Diamondbacks (Webb 2.63) - 8:40 CST Marlins (Olsen 5.25) @ Cardinals (Looper 4.98) - 7:10 CST NL Central Standings Chicago 64-60 --- Milwaukee 65-61 --- St. Louis 60-62 3.0
  13. Wow I remember the 2004 and 2005 Cubs having trouble fielding bunts and going to the right base. Good to see things haven't changed over the years.
  14. Anyone like this matchup between Rich Hill and the pitcher he is most compared to
  15. Wow so I turned this game off after the top of the 8th because every time I watched the Cubs hit in the game it was making me more and more agitated. When I got up, I didn't bother to check the score because I figured it was unlikely that we scored, and I didn't want to ruin my morning. On a whim, I decided to check the score, but the way I checked it was by reading the game thread from the point I left off at. What an exciting way to read an exciting finish. I guess the lesson is to never give up on the team again!
  16. I'm turning this game off. I know the outcome already. Unbelievable pitching performance by Lincecum. Goodnight
  17. Mil -- Chi 1 Stl 3 Way things are looking tonight
  18. Darn, I was hoping Vizquel would throw him out so it would be 12 pitches for 6 outs
  19. So not only is Lincecum going to pitch a perfect game, but because of the Cubs impatient style, he is going going to record a strikeout, screwing over my fantasy team.
  20. Cedeno during his recent callup: 3-20, 0 XBH, 2 RBI, 1 BB
  21. A dynasty? You mean multiple championships?
