  1. If we were at home I would have no fear of a comeback. We're on the road, so I am resigned to our fate.
  2. Marquis vs. Halladay tomorrow....someone make sure Gallagher knows that.
  3. Hmm maybe we need to look outside the org. for a LF replacement.
  4. I kinda wish we scored in that first inning...
  5. Sarcasm detector is having trouble on this one. You're on the right path :)
  6. That was such an unnecessary dive....he caught the ball like 3 seconds earlier!
  7. It's only an 8 hour drive from Chicago Or $5,000 in gas. Yeah but when you get to Canada it turns into litres so you don't realize how much you're spending.
  8. Nicely settled in. Looks like we may have lost a chance to get some runs.
  9. The turf is going to kill us this series with our lack of range on the IF, especially SS.
  10. Man that's about as bad as you can be without giving up a run. 4 base runners, 3 walks, 32 pitches, 0 runs.
  11. Damn, I have a feeling Soto is going to get owned here...
  12. He sucked when he was up in the big leagues So the Blue Jays Felix Pie?
  13. 1-0 Cu- oh wait Theriot ran himself out of the inning
  14. It looks like its going to take a turn through the order before we figure Burnett out.
  15. There's really no point in acquiring a LF for 6 weeks unless you have a spot for them after 6 weeks.
  16. They are saying that he shouldn't cheer when the team he plays for wins games? I don't get it. I hope people realize that rivalries mean almost nothing to the actual players. Also, just knowing Edmonds' personality the little that I do, I don't think he really cares all that much what casual fans think of him. The die hard Cardinals fans are smart enough to realize why he is acting the way he is..
  17. They probably have developed my philosophy regarding Jim Edmonds. I will accept any contributions he makes, and I will hope for him to do well for the sake of the Cubs, but I just can't like the guy. Maybe that will change in time as well, because my previous stance was to boo him at all costs and despise any contribution he makes. It actually irritates me to completely change my stance on someone based on their performance. I hate knowing that the only reason I like my favorite players is because they play baseball exceptionally well. I guess, being that I don't know any of them personally, thats how it goes, but I still want to pretend that its not the case, and want to keep telling myself I hate Edmonds because he's kind of a jerk.
  18. Most years, I would hesitate. But this year it seems obvious that we can be 1-2 pieces away from being a juggernaut. As long as its not for a 39 year old pitcher having a flukishly good year, I would do it. This needs to end now.
