  1. Marmol has pitched 2 innings this week. Ove the course of a season thats 48 IP a year. So he's been pretty rested this week. Again, not ideal...i would have rather not used him, but I'm not mad at all about it.
  2. Carlos Marmol is the best player whose ever based a ball.
  3. Hasn't Marmol only pitched 1 IP total this week? I'm not opposed to this.
  4. Edmonds must be hot, he just had a solid single vs. a lefty.
  5. I think Ramirez just doesn't see the ball well from Roy.
  6. Man Rammy doesn't look like a good matchup vs. Halladay...
  7. Damn I thought that was going to be an inside the parker when it got by him.
  8. What a weird game baseball is. Yesterday the Cubs have 12 base runners and score 2, today the Cubs have 7 base runners and score 5 so far.
  9. C'mon Cubs. 80 pitches through 4. We need to get him out of the game after 6 innings.
  10. Really good to see Lee get a solid single
  11. It quite disturbs me that 4 members of the 2006 Cardinals are in the lineup today.
  12. Oh my what an awful lineup. Johnson is hitting .232 .291 .303 .594 against righties...and HES LEADING OFF? That's 0-4 right there. Absolutely no Soto in there when he's actually starting to pick it up, and there's the benefit of the DH? Horrible. This is just an awful awful lineup and probably will end up being the worst of the year when all is said and done. Hopefully we can luck our way to a victory.
  13. I don't get why people keep saying this, unless you're assuming Soto would have gone to third. Look at how that ball deflected. The ball was going to split the OFs. Maybe it wasn't hit hard enough to score two like I said above. Maybe it was. At the very least, Soto would have gotten to third easily and it would have been 1st and 3rd 0 outs with the score 3-2
  14. Again, I contend that if that ball doesn't hit the ump, its headed straight into the gap between the OFs and I believe 2 runs score to tie it.

  16. This is all going to be hilarious when Lou inexplicably lets Micah hit for himself in the 9th
  17. Reed But then who plays 1B if we get to the bottom of 9? DeRosa. And they'll put Johnson and Cedeno in the outfield in some configuration. Lou's playing the numbers with all the left-handers. The reason he did it this way was limited batter pitcher data: Blanco against Downs: 3/6, 1 2B, 1 HR, 2 BB's, .500/.625/1.175 And the reason we saved Johnson for the 9th: Johnson against Ryan: 3/4 Don't put much value in those numbers, but with 3 left-handers to pinch-hit for it made sense to try to put the players in the order to at least give you the best spot overall, and that was likely Blanco last inning, and when there became 2 outs and only a guy on 1st I like that they ended up saving Johnson until the 9th. Smart post
  18. Has anyone figured out why Eyre is growing a ChiaPet on his chin?
  19. With the crazy way Lou is managing today, probably Dempster.
