    The Giants have a combined 45 HRs in their lineup today (including Winn). The Cubs top 3 HR hitters (Soto, Ramirez, Lee/Soriano) have 47 HRs.

    Does the zone look large for Marquis today? I am following on gameday and some of the calls look borderline at best.

    A guy I work with threw a fastball in the low 80s at best and had what he called a "mediocre to poor" breaking pitch in college. But because he's a lefty, he got drafted by the Tigers and still to this day gets occasional try out offers from major league teams (he's 25).

    I would take Sexson as a trial for power righty off the bench if he would agree to it. This is of course after he clears waivers.

    That sounds logical. I'd like to see Wuertz get 3 games in a week to get a better feel again before he comes up and I think he'll be fine down there...do well and be in a good groove when he's called up. It sounds logical until you remember the AAA all star game is wednesday, so he's not going to get a chance for regular work anytime soon. Yeah but he can rest up think about what he did wrong while he sits in the corner. What do you think he's been doing in the Cubs bullpen the last couple of weeks?
