    This is a case where you need OPS much more than simple BA. Pretty much all cases its better to use OPS vs. BA. I could only obtain his BA vs. Lefties in the CBS Sportsline application I was using.

    Just read this in an ESPN chat by Keith Law: Tim (NYC): Vitters/Moustakas: A year out, who would go first (with Heyward clearly going before both)? SportsNation Keith Law: (1:08 PM ET ) Vitters. I've heard from people who've seen him this year that he looks outstanding in the NWL.

    +1. I have never understood why people hate Corey so much. Could be his .169 BA and .477 OPS after June 1st in 2005.

    Its not so much getting carried away as he fills a temporary void. When Reed Johnson starts, Cedeno is our main righty off the bench, and it would be nice to have one who MIGHT be able to hit a baseball. But like I said above, it doesnt matter. He can't hit lefties, and kills righties, meaning basically he is another lefty that happens to hit from the right side of the plate. He doesn't help us match up any better than Daryle Ward does.

    I'm probably jinxing us, but only Bronson Arroyo is between us and a sweep!

    That's not a bad idea at all. He and ward are basically the same player; can't really play defense a lick but can mash a ball every now and then. I doubt it will happen though, Lou loves him some versatility and 13 pitchers (to only use 9). He's not really a counterpart to Ward though. Although Ward is a lefty and Dubois a righty, both are absolutely horrible against lefties and mash righties.

    Who said that? BTW, ASB starts Monday. Corey was talking about the POST-ASG rotation in the booth. He'll be starting the Monday after in Arizona. I had a brain fart and thought he meant THIS monday. That's good. Seriously give him all the rest he needs.

    When did we get Doobs back? Hes been back for a while now. I've always said we could use a RH power threat off the bench.... Edit: Whoops nevermind, for some reason he hits lefties as well as Jim Edmonds. I forgot about that.
