  1. A's are now my favorite AL team for the time being. Both Murton and Gallagher are players I invested a lot of time following, and its great to see they are getting the opportunity to play. Looks like Murton's stay with the A's might be really short though.
  2. Darn I was hoping for a Murt Hurt (2008 Murt Hurt = fly ball to short center)
  3. Looks like there is no ground to gain tonight...
  4. That was the cheapest half swing hit I've ever seen. Sucks, the Brewers got runners on first and second with 0 out and Braun and Fielder up...the Reds managed to K Braun and Fielder and then they give up a check swing double to Hart.
  5. Some "news" from BCB. Love or hate BCB, some of Al's inside info has been true in the past.
  6. Get Marmol up. Wood has proven in these situations that he can't right himself. Take him out.
  7. If Kerry blows this save, I vote that he is removed from the All Star roster :)
  8. Cain has given up 1 ER in his last 22 IP against the Cubs dating back to last year.
  9. I'm still waiting for sparks to fly from those Cubbie bats Lou
  10. I feel like a solo HR is going to decide this one either way.
  11. I would say Cain stays in for the 7th unless they need a PH this inning, because that would mean they are threatening
  12. Highest pitch count totals for Cain this year 115 114 114 114 113 108 108 108 107 103 101
  13. The Giants have a combined 45 HRs in their lineup today (including Winn). The Cubs top 3 HR hitters (Soto, Ramirez, Lee/Soriano) have 47 HRs.
  14. Well looks like bad Marquis is peaking his head out.
  15. He had one good year in 2005 and that year will carry his reputation as a hitter for the rest of his career.
  16. Cains ER allowed last 5 starts 3 3 4 0 5 Can you guess which one was vs. Chicago?
  17. Does the zone look large for Marquis today? I am following on gameday and some of the calls look borderline at best.
  18. A guy I work with threw a fastball in the low 80s at best and had what he called a "mediocre to poor" breaking pitch in college. But because he's a lefty, he got drafted by the Tigers and still to this day gets occasional try out offers from major league teams (he's 25).
  19. I would take Sexson as a trial for power righty off the bench if he would agree to it. This is of course after he clears waivers.
