  1. Edmonds is 6 for his last 44, and that includes his feasting of the Pirates pitching when he went 3-5. I think the magic is ovah.
  2. I was going to go to the bathroom after the last half inning, but I figured to wait 2 minutes until after the Cubs offense gets itself out.
  3. This stretch really reminds me of the stretch in September 04. In that month we had a 7 game winning streak, where in the first 4 games or so we were swinging the bats really well and looking good. Then our bats went to crap (as they tended to do in 04) and because of good pitching, we scratched across a few close wins. But the bats continued to get worse, and after winning the first in NY, we dropped the last 2, then went home to drop 3 of 4 to Cinci and then lost the first 2 to Atlanta. Anyways, lemme stress that I am NOT IMPLYING THE CUBS ARE ABOUT TO COLLAPSE. I was just thinking of a similar situation where we were winning games but not looking good doing it, and then the bottom fell out for a bit. Another time was in 2005 when we won 4 in a row vs. the White Sox and Brewers, but the scores of those games were 6-2, 2-0, 2-0, 3-2. We then lost 7 in a row.
  4. They are and they aren't. Oswalt has been pumping strikes in there all game for the most part.
  5. Cubs .243/.292/.361/.653 in their last 5.6 games (5 games + 6 innings today)
  6. What you mean to say is..... if I had a life......... You do have a life...you are in Hawaii!
  7. I have a feeling in one of these last 4 innings, the Cubs will put together a 3-4 run inning.
  8. Fred you are dedicated to the Cubs. If I was in Hawaii, unless it was an extremely important game or a playoff game, I would not be watching the game lol.
  9. i wonder if the Astros are going to appeal that single by Soto. To be honest, that grounded bounced at least 6 times, someone should have gotten to it.... sounds like an error to me.
  10. can you believe there is only 8 home games left after this one.
  11. Now all we have to worry about is the Mets awful bullpen
  12. This is actually good that the Cubs bats are slumping now. Let them slump now at the beginning of September, and then get hot at the end/early October.
  13. Reyes flys out. 2-1 Brewers to the bottom of the 7th
  14. Wild pitch scores 1. 2-1 Brewers, Reyes with a 2-2 count.
  15. Looks like the offense is still in a slumber. C'mon boys!
  16. Bases loaded 2 outs for Jose Reyes. Mitch Stetter coming in.
