    Because the season is longer than 6 games. Yup, but its just astounding. The pitching and offense yeah, we were due for an unfortunate stretch where they both fail together. But the defense has been absolutely horrible and the fundamentals even worse.

    I just don't understand how a team that has scored the most runs in the NL, allowed the least runs in the NL and has widely regarded good defense and fundamentals, especially in the infield all the sudden blows up like this.

    No offense, but how hard are magic numbers to comprehend? I am not singling you out at all LLF, but it just seems like no one understands the concept of it. All a magic number is is # of Cubs wins + # of 2nd place team's losses to clinch a division title/wild card. So a magic number can be reduced by a Cubs win or a Brewers loss for the division. A magic number 18 can be achieved by 18 Cubs wins, 18 Brewers losses, or 9 Cubs wins and 9 Brewers losses, or any combination in between.

    Yea, they're saying it was self-inflicted. I would cry if a current remember of this team hurt himself by doing something like that. Or if we lost our #2 pick in the draft from last year because he decided to not only ride a motorcycle, but ride one without even really knowing how to ride one. That crap still pisses me off. That might've cost us a shot at Carmelo or Wade. Please don't bring that up anymore. But hey we got Rose now!

    Am I missing something? Don't the Brewers still have a 4 game lead in the Wild Card? Do they think the Phillies will really be 4 games better than them over the last 22 games? If the Brewers go 11-11, the Phillies would have to go 15-7 to tie, 16-6 to win.
