    I remember last Friday when we were making projections for the season ending record and we would say stuff like "If the Cubs only go 14-14 the rest of the year........but we'll obviously do better than that"

    Hahahah I've never seen someone demand depression and nihilism like this I've never seen people have such a strong desire to stifle any sort of negative thought. Why should we celebrate and encourage negativity? Especially since its kneejerk and not based in reality? Then we should become the "Chicago Cubs Happy Thoughts Board" and we can have the initials N-S-B-B placed over a giant rainbow with a smiling sun in the corner for a logo. Do you think all of the posts when the Cubs are on a 7 game winning streak are based in reality and not kneejerk. Did you read how much whining and bitching there was going on during the winning streak? Yeah that was a little annoying for sure. But I'd rather people make random isolated remarks than 30 pages with 5% baseball discussion 20% optimism 30% negativity and 45% people calling out others being negative.
