  1. Some of you have probably seen way more PKs than I have. Have you ever seen one taken like this before? 😂 For context, making the PK would have sent Everton to the semifinals of the Carabao Cup, and they eventually lost the PKs.
  2. I’ve seen about 4-5 Bears twitter guys comment on how bad the Bears offensive game film is from yesterday. Doesn’t surprise me at all, just funny how many people went out of their way to comment on how awful it is.
  3. I'd prefer to go QB and start over, but I just like Fields and while I don't think he's the guy, there's a part of me that continues to want to believe. I think he has improved this year, enough to be an average starting QB. But I also think his ceiling is not much higher than that as there are fatal flaws that at this point can't be fixed and a number of risks to committing big money long term for him given his style of play. Put it this way, if we weren't in a position where we were gifted a top 2 pick and only had our own pick, I wouldn't be calling to replace Fields by all means necessary. I am not an expert football film watcher so I couldn't tell you whether I loved Caleb or Maye but if Caleb really is a clone of Fields skillset, I don't see the harm in resetting the rookie QB contract, putting the right staff and system in place and seeing if we can unlock a higher ceiling with him. From what I've read, his skills are good enough that I don't think he'd be a Zach Wilson type flop. Maybe he ends up a little worse than Fields, maybe he ends up better than Fields. We don't know, but I'm convinced that what we are risking is giving up on a league average QB that is about to get much more expensive.
  4. I was gonna take my kids to this game since ticket prices are so cheap on the secondary market but probably wouldn't get home until after 8 on XMas Eve if I go. Ridiculous time for a game between 2 crappy teams
  5. As I told someone yesterday, this is where the 'ownership is the reason this franchise has sucked for 30 years' comes into play. I don't trust them to make the right decision, I see them as highlighting the growth of the team and not wanting to replace head coaches every 2 years or some crap. That said, if Warren really has the keys to the kingdom maybe he uses his authority to force a change...not sure he'd override Poles though if he decided he wanted to keep Eberflus,
  6. I don’t know about that. The Bears as a franchise are absolutely elite at inexpicably blowing games. I can think of maybe a dozen games over the last 20 years that are on par with the 3 this year. Maybe more than a dozen. It doesn’t even phase me anymore because I’ve seen them blow so many games that no other team in the league loses.
  7. That would be interesting. I'm in a very tight contest and my opponent has the Browns D so I could use the 2 points taken away from him. I would think normally you couldn't overturn it because the game continues with the interception which sort of locks it in, but since the half ended, it doesnt affect the game to change the call to an incompletion
  8. If I had to guess, Belli’s preference would be to resign with Cubs and Boras is using Blue Jays to try to get the Cubs to cave, however Bellinger is willing to sign with Toronto if the Cubs don’t. So basically he’s going to sign with the Jays.
  9. How the Bears can still make the playoffs:
  10. That all out blitz on 3rd and 15 reminded me to much of the one against the Packers to blow the playoffs in 2013
  11. Meh. If you were a fan of another team this loss would hurt much more. We’re used to this
  12. That’s gonna hurt the new contract
  13. Bears have played the easiest schedule in the NFC and are 5-9. They should not be 5-9 but they are. That’s on coaching.
  14. Flacco completely outplayed Fields despite being signed off the street 3 weeks ago and throwing 3 INTs The loss isn’t necessarily on Fields but it’s a sobering reminder of what we have at QB
  15. Oh yeah this baby is over Flacco has had a terrible day at times and has been pressured just as much as Fields but has moved the ball down the field
  16. I know the Browns have a great D and Getsy sucks and the line was brutal but Fields offense led the team to 3 points today. Not good enough.
  17. Lmao lose 5 yards on 1st down great stuff
  18. Brisker was right there. Not sure how he missed that tackle
  19. I wonder if the offense that has produced 3 points all game can drive for the win
