  1. years and years of Packers players criticizing our QBs and we can’t so horsefeathers about it
  2. I don’t even want him back but this makes me sad. Such a unique situation that led to Fields possibly being done after 3 seasons. He hasn’t been particularly great but in almost any other situation he’s the Bears starting QB next year
  3. That’s fair that the defense hasn’t played up to par, I’m just saying that we’re starting to collect a good core of defensive talent. They absolutely need to address the defense in the offseason but I think we have 3 DBs they really like and 4 if they resign Jaylon, Brisker is a keeper at safety, Dexter really came on strong the 2nd half of the year and Sweat was acquired to be an impact piece on the DL. The linebackers are expensive but as a group are somewhere between adequate and above average. It’s not a finished product but I feel much better about the pieces in place than I did 2 years ago.
  4. I think the roster is closer than you think. The problem is the areas it’s still lacking are pretty horsefeathers important (HC, OC, QB, OL). But the defense has basically been rebuilt and despite the terrible showing today has looked pretty damn good at times this year and is full of young talent. Even the OL appears to have 2 or 3 of the 5 spots set with young talent. I think if you put a legit good QB and OC on this team and build some depth through another draft/FA period they can be good really soon, but obviously much easier said than done.
  5. Bears and Vikings both finished 7-10 but the Bears “win” the tiebreaker and are considered the last place team in the North. 2024 opponents: Home: Green Bay Minnesota Detroit Jacksonville LA Rams Seattle Tennessee Carolina* New England* Away: Green Bay Minnesota Detroit Arizona Houston Indianapolis San Francisco Washington* The games with a star are the ones we are “gifted” by having the last place schedule. If we had lost the tiebreaker to Minnesota those games would have been Atlanta and NY Jets at home and NY Giants away
  6. I’m keeping myself sane by reminding myself that at one point in my life I was certain the Cubs would never win the World Series and that Michigan would never beat Ohio State. They both felt hopeless at one point as they do now. It will keep happening until one day it doesn’t lol
  7. Yes why not focus our anger on the couple of Packers fans that are admittedly treading lightly in this thread but clearly enjoying our tears?
  8. Today was the 6th game this year in which the Bears offense was only able to produce 1 TD or less. So 35% of our games we were trying to win with only 0-1 TDs plus defensive scores and FGs. Also only 1 of those 6 games came in Bagent’s 4 starts. 5 of the 13 Fields starts were 0 or 1 TD Further breaking this down since many may point to Fields improvement the last half of the season, 3 of the games were in the 7 games after Fields returned from injury so it actually happened more frequently as the season progressed. I realize Fields is not the entire offense and there are many other factors that play into it, but that horsefeathers is depressing
  9. Lots of goats today but the DL horsefeathers sucked today
  10. Ginny is not gonna like this
  11. Just laughing about Getsy calling a ridiculous screen on 3rd and 22 and the Bears never touching the ball again in the game.
  12. Bears and Packers were both 7-8 in games not against each other.
  13. I’m kind of glad we had this performance today outside of letting the Packers into the playoffs. The Bears had one of the easiest schedules you can possibly have and they took advantage by winning 7 games. But last year they had one of the hardest schedules possible and won 3. I almost wonder if last years team wins 7 games with this schedule. Anyways my point is, you cant let 7 wins against a terrible schedule convince you that things are going well and people should be retained.
  14. If there’s anything that pisses off George and Ginny it’s getting pantsed by the Packers. Though you’d think they’d be used to it by now
  15. Very fitting end. Nice to see what a good QB does in these situations. I honestly don’t think a ton of today is on Fields but he also didn’t help his case either. Think they are going to draft a QB
  16. Abusing the Eberflus zone play after play after play
  17. Fields was on track to have his 4th 100 QB rating game of the season but it’s now slipped into the mid 90s
  18. Eberflus: throw the flag on that hit, you horsefeathers haven’t called a penalty all game Ref: oh yeah you’re right, gotta make up for that
  19. Tyson Bagent in to save the season! edit: or Peterman yikes
  20. Flus should be screaming in the refs face to the point of getting a penalty called against him but the response seems to be a collective shrug
  21. Every horsefeathers game
  22. Another break goes the Bears way. Could easily be 35-9
  23. We are owned again. Maybe the next Packers QB in 2038 will be bad
