  1. this account is followed by media people. Take it with a huge grain of salt. The only reason I’m even posting this is to laugh at the thought about us discussing whether we’d rather trade for Glasnow or a Bieber/Clase package and the Dodgers saying “horsefeathers you we’ll trade for both, and sign the 2 biggest FAs to unprecedented contracts to add to our team that won 100 games last year”
  2. Ok but I guess what I meant to ask and accidentally ended up framing in a “should we really take a QB at 1” type of statement is what is the read on Daniels and Nix, mostly Daniels? I kind of know what he does well but what keeps him from being in the conversation with Williams and Maye?
  3. The more I think about it the less enthused I am about Caleb and Maye. I’ll be the first to tell you I don’t know the first thing about scouting QB, and there’s no reason neither or both don’t turn out to be good QBs, I’m just not enthusiastic about them. All this to say, how do people here feel about the second tier of QBs, mainly Daniels and Nix? Last year people were high on Young but many had a similar unenthusiastic feeling about him. Anthony Richardson was sort of in that next tier and while injuries crushed his rookie year when he played he looked very promising. Just wondering if it’s better to take MHJ with their top pick and go after Daniels or Nix if available with the Bears pick. Probably wouldn’t take MHJ 1 so it depends on whether you can trade down a couple spots and still land him but Daniels/MHJ/Moore seems pretty good, if you actually like Daniels
  4. I'm not doing this because I have any hope of making the playoffs, but because I'm a nerd about these things Here are the ways the Bears can be eliminated this weekend: 1. Lose (or tie) to Falcons 2. Both the Rams and Seahawks win 3. Both Rams and Packers win 4. Both the Rams and Vikings win 5. Both the Seahawks and Packers win 6. Both the Seahawks and Vikings win To make the playoffs the Bears would need this entire scenario to happen: Bears win last 2 games and Seahawks, Rams and Saints all lose their final 2 games. For some reason the Vikings and Packers results don't play into this, guessing because there are 2 playoff spots at play and the Packers would lose to the Bears in the previous scenario.
  5. I doubt fan frustration affects Jed all that much but I do think he is going to do everything possible to hold Bellinger from signing until he can extract the best possible offer. If the Cubs are nowhere close, he won't be afraid to take it well into Spring Training in order to get closer to what he wants
  6. Thanks. ESPNs stupid playoff machine is down right now for some reason.
  7. Are you sure? I didn’t do the math myself but saw someone on Twitter say the Seahawks win yesterday eliminated the Bears edit: disregard were somehow still alive and I’m sick so I’m gonna go find that scenario now
  8. Stealing my joke from twitter “Patrick Mahomes is a Hall of Famer regardless of what he does the rest of his career” Matt Nagy: Oh really?
  9. With that Patriots win, I'm pretty sure that a Panthers loss in either of their 2 remaining games will virtually clinch the number 1 pick for the Bears. Arizona is pretty far behind Carolina in SOS, so while I havent run the math it seems pretty unlikely. I mean what an amazing insane stroke of luck. I'm not used to the Bears having this kind of luck (yes yes I know they will screw it up)
  10. How do we feel about the defensive performance today? It seems like the defense lately has looked completely dominant for stretches of games, like a top 5 defense in the league but they continue to let teams back into games.
  11. This will be Flus’s masterpiece
  12. Definitely not the worst QB lol but the 52% completion percentage 158 passing yards, 68 QB rating aren’t doing a great job of convincing me to he should be the guy as nice as his running is
  13. DJ Moore was wide open on that one too and on the same side of the field as where he threw it. Damn
  14. I know we can see this on the all 22s every week but I’m at the game and watching Moore on every play and wow does he get open deep a lot.
  15. I don't want to look for a type. Lets interview all different types of candidates and consider all options. The last time the Bears hired an established big-time coach it was a disaster (John Fox)
  16. I wasn't sure but I read your post meaning you wouldn't want to hire Tomlin regardless of whether it costs draft picks or not
  17. I can understand not wanting to trade draft picks but outright saying no to a coach who has coached for 17 years and has never had a losing season and made the playoffs 10 times seems odd for a team that has 11 losing seasons over the last 17 years. Not sure if he’d be my top choice and not sure I’m willing to give up draft picks for him but I wouldn’t hate him being our coach at all
  18. Hawks had a 5-2 lead with 12 mins left in the game. They lost 7-5. I know winning this year was never a reasonable ask given the team we put out there but last years team after 33 games had 20 points, this year 21 points.
  19. To quote Andrew Friedman back in 2016: "If you're always rational about every free agent, you will finish third on every free agent."
  20. This team is so strange. Was Zach really holding this team back that badly? I can’t believe I’m saying this but Pat Williams is starting to look like a real player. Like I used to think that he really just didn’t have much of a role on the floor. He was just kind of there and he could get some stats due to his minutes but he wasn’t making an impact. It’s starting to feel like he is making an impact now to some degree. I wonder if advanced stats agree with that assessment.
  21. Yeah just ask the…Dream Team
  22. Damn we didn’t get him?
  23. Wait, are the hot dog buns smaller than they used to be? Really trying to save money wherever they can 😂
  24. People were trying to fit him into possible Cubs-Guardians trade. Thus saying we can get a better reliever for less money
  25. Yeah in retrospect the worst thing about that PK was the actual kick which would be terrible regardless of the run up to the ball.
