Saw lots of good stuff from fields the last 2 weeks but also reminded that he was playing 2 of the 5 worst defenses in the league and the line was able to block for him.

That’s what I mean about pressure getting to him. He’s getting indecisive and which is what seems to happen when he’s under frequent pressure

Will be an interesting PSU/OSU game. I think if OSU wins they will have the pole position for number 1 when the first CFP rankings come out since Georgia and Michigan haven't really played anyone. I don't even think OSU is *that* good (relative to most years) but they will have earned it. If PSU wins, then things really get interesting with Michigan having to visit Happy Valley later on.

Deflating INT in FG range and the defense has their worst drive of the game and the Vikings will have a 6 point lead and the ball to start the 3rd.

Yeah not picking on that specific play but just in general. Feels like he’s going back to the mode where he’s anticipating pressure and missing targets downfield. Granted if the line could block for him it would be different but lots of QBs can play well with pass blocking

This is an issue with fields being the QB going forward. Get some pressure on him and he stops seeing the field, starts taking off early or does the deer in headlights thing and gets sacked. sobering reminder of what we have

What happened to using DJ Moore? I get the pass blocking has been terrible but feel like we should be trying to get him involved

What a stupid playcall. I thought they ran there because they were gonna go for it on 4th. I guess it worked out because they got the FG but playing for a 53 yard FG attempt seems silly

Negative plays are killing us. Fields with 10 passing yards midway though the 2nd. Something tells me he’s not getting over 200 yards today

What a messy terrible first drive temporarily saved only by Fields running

USC was most recently seen needing triple OT at home to beat Arizona (though Arizona might be decent based on tonight). NDs 2 losses were to number 3 team by a hair, and another undefeated team. Makes sense to me I think given the game was in South Bend. that said, very difficult to play the transitive game with ND. Almost beat OSU, then lose to Louisville who then loses to Pitt while ND beats USC. It’s all very confusing

Germany is just repeatedly breaking down our defense in the 2nd half. Dest has been frustrating. Not at all the performance I wanted to see with our best guys out there

World class goal there. Germany was tilting the field towards the end of the half though from what I saw.
