  1. Next 2 games for Carolina are Colts and Bears. Ugh
  2. Panthers are going to win unless our friend Pineiro wants to miss an easy FG. They’ll still be the 1st overall pick no matter what but obviously their margin is gone
  3. If the Packers offered the Bears 4 1st round picks (this years let’s say 11th overall) and a 2 2nd round picks for 1.01 would you do it? Lol
  4. Take MHJ and it’s basically like drafting Calvin Johnson (I hope). You still need the QB of course but damn that’s tempting
  5. Really makes no sense at all that the Bulls had a non-playoff team with like 4 key free agents and they went out of their way to bring back all 4 of them. Like really?
  6. LaVine gets his first 50 point game of his career and the Bulls are gonna lose by double digits lmao
  7. Caleb Williams with another meh showing so far today. 15-25, 196 yards, 1 TD, 7.8 YPA in the 1st half but it looks uglier than the stat line suggests from what I’ve seen.
  8. But they hit the one that counts! (Nevermind the fact that they would have won easily if they simply shot like a normal team)
  9. And they won. Caruso is a beast
  10. Bulls fight all the way back from 14 down with 5 mins left only for Demar to miss the FT that would have tied it lol. Then down 3 with seconds left gets fouled shooting a 3 and misses the one that would have tied it again. Then Caruso draws an offensive foul on the rebound, they pass to Derozan and he gets fouled AGAIN down 1. And he misses AGAIN. So now its OT
  11. I'm confused, how is this a process crime? I may not be understanding correctly what a process crime is.
  12. According to the CFB subreddit they are going to be erased from existence. I really don't know, I could easily make an argument that its going to be much less than people are expecting, but I could make an argument that it will be much worse. The concept of actually cheating to this scale hasn't really been seen before, regardless of how much of an advantage Michigan got from it. The way the news on this drips out ever so slowly as if designed to keep the story in the news as much as possible doesn't really help either. The NCAA may have to cave into public pressure even if they weren't planning on throwing the book at them.
  13. Jim Harbaugh and Doug Flutie, though Flutie's case was really strange and involved a decade in the CFL. But Harbaugh went from the Bears to the Colts and took them to the AFC title game right away I think. But yeah with Nature vs. Nurture. Even if you subscribed to the theory that a poorly developed QB can not be rehabilitated after the botched development, there would have to be at least a couple of outliers that managed to succeed with their 2nd team (a combo of being on a team that just completely botched his development and going to a team that was the perfect fit for him)and there really isn't
  14. I really thought hiring a *checks notes* shooting coach and signing a couple of medium volume role players would fix the worst 3 point shooting team in the league.
  15. If so feel free to post in this thread. Bulls currently down by 13 at home to the Thunder in their opener.
  16. Well deserved, I wouldn't have felt right if I finished with more reputation points than TT, if only because my points are achieved by sheer volume of slightly agreeable posts compared to the incredible quality of TT's posts, both informational and often hilarious. Congrats to all the winners and awesome of you to set this up @Brock Beauchamp Thanks for all the work you've done this year in growing the board and bringing quality discussion back to this place.
  17. Interesting, I'd never heard of that scandal. Found some good reading on it
  18. Yes. The outcry seems to be because it was so damn blatant with the staffer buying tickets to games to just about every UM opponent or potential UM opponent and having the people that attended hold up their phone all game to record opponents sidelines. I personally don’t think this gave Michigan a huge competitive edge over other teams that are watching game film and other legal methods to steal signs (of course I’m biased), but it is listed as a violation so regardless of how much it helped them they have put themselves in a position to be punished. I think the biggest damage will be to reputation as you can’t convince fans of some teams that this sign stealing operation was the sole reason for Michigan’s success the last 3 seasons. Even if the NCAA came out today and completely vindicated Michigan, there will always be a stain on this era at this point. The interesting thing to me is the rumors that a guy named Jim Stapleton is the one pushing these allegations and leaking them to the media. Stapleton is a UM alum who has major beef with Harbaugh for whatever reason, and is the biggest reason he didn’t get the Vikings job (he’s a minority owner with Minnesota). Most importantly he is on the NCAA infractions committee
  19. Seems more of a function of Getsy calling plays than Fields unable to make the throws though. We know Fields can make the throws, if he sees them and actually pulls the trigger he is has been very efficient with the down field throws (I think), but since he can't be trusted to pull the trigger either due to processing time or a bad line Getsy has to call quick screens and other short plays to generate offense. With Bagent, we simply do not know if he can effectively throw downfield. Anyways you know all this, just rationalizing why Bagents AirY/A matters and Fields' doesnt.
  20. People were gushing over the Lawrence/Wilson/Lance/Fields class too IIRC and so far only Lawrence looks like a long term starter, and even he has been a bit underwhelming. Quality starter but not sure if he's a HOF caliber QB.

Diamondbacks are 1 game from the World Series and wouldn’t have even been in the playoffs had Dansby caught a ball deflected off his pitcher”s arm that went right to him.

Lmao Astros. Keep it going Rangers. insane that tomorrow will be the first game 7 in Phillies franchise history. 132 year history. I know they sucked for most of their history but that’s crazy
  23. Was really just hoping I could enjoy the one team out of roughly 10 or so that I root for being really good at their sport. A week ago there was talk of a massive Harbaugh extension and the possibility of continuing this success for the next decade. Now its likely Harbaugh leaves and the program goes into the gutter for several years depending on how bad the punishments are. I know no one is going to feel sorry for the poor Michigan fan, but all this stuff is a giant gut punch, the likes of which I've never quite felt as a sports fan before.
  24. Have they said anything about Fields status? I just assumed he's out for at least 2 more weeks. If he plays if could be a disaster if he's having trouble gripping the football. Assuming Bagent plays it will be interesting to see how the game plans for both teams are. Getsy probably cant expect to have the same game plan as yesterday and be successful now that teams have some tape on it. He's going to have to have Bagent throw more downfield, even if just mixed in with the dinks and dunks.
