  1. Mark Bradley (formerly of the Bears) caught a TD but its being reviewed. Edit: And its confirmed. TD Bradley. Great work Angelo.
  2. Uhhh hello, they got lucky and got a cheap win because of stupid howry NHL rules... shootout? Whoever thought of that should be hung... it should be OT til a REAL team scores. Not 1 v 1. 8 power plays to 3...You will not see 10 games all year with that kind of ratio They will never play OT games til someone wins in the regular season and that would still be the DEFENDING STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS over a team that has only made the playoffs once this decade...So take your REAL team back and maybe make the playoffs and let a Detroit worry about defending the Cup nuff said Oooo, high and mighty Red Wings fan. I have nothing to say other than that. Wings obviously have our number both now, historically and probably in the future.
  3. The Hawks suck at shootouts. At least Khabi does.
  4. Wings definitely outplaying the Hawks so far.
  5. Phil Rodgers. It's under his "whispers" section but I doubt its more than speculation
  6. He's fine. It was precautionary, he said so himself, and since he isn't a Chicago Cub, I believe him.
  7. I read a columnist type suggest it, I haven't read anybody saying it will happen. I don't think it'll work. It's fine for Miami when they are using one of their 2 RBs, but Hester is a little receiver, he's not going to be able to do the same things. And not to be a pessimist about it or anything, but has Hester made anyone miss a tackle all season? Frankly, Hester just doesn't seem all that dangerous so far this year. I mentioned it a few weeks ago. He seems as if he's lost a step or two. He seems to always get a big burst of speed up the middle when he breaks a big one, but this year he's constantly going to the sideline and running/being pushed out. He's definitely not the same. I wonder if any/how much of that is because Ayanbadejo is gone. Even on offense. He's had a couple of plays where he's had some room to gather some speed and make jukes but hasnt. I wonder if any of it has to do with his hip injury that he suffered that made him lose his elusiveness.
  8. My trade: Braylon Edwards to me for Ronnie Brown My WRs right now are Jennings, Colston, Berrian, Lance Moore/Steve Breaston (start 4) My RBs right now are Portis, Lynch, Brown, Slaton (start 3) I am probably giving him a better player than I'm getting, but I think I have a glut of RBs, and I'm really not high on Ronnie Brown.
  9. At least we hope.
  10. That's a long time from now, though. In a way, it's unfortunate that the tickets go on sale so close to the disappointment and so far from the event. No I know. I've accepted that come April 6th, I'll be pumped up for the Cubs season...but the Cubs Convention...an event where your supposed to celebrate and generate hope for the upcoming season. If I go and Ron Santo speaks and says "This is the YEAR", I'll probably have to leave the hotel.
  11. I'm not going to go. I would have a hard time getting all pumped up in January after what happened this month.
  12. I doubt it. I have not read anywhere that says the Cubs have any interest in trading for Peavy, plus this trade should be completed most likely before the new year.
  13. http://blogs.sun-sentinel.com/sports_baseball_marlins/2008/10/trade-front.html
  14. Ummmmm he made second team All Big Ten last year and Hummel is the only returning first teamer meaning there are plenty of open slots. He is also the conferences leading returning scorer and Michigan will likely be better than they were last year. Manny Harris was a guard with a A/TO ratio worse than 1. Much worse than 1. Michigan's returning roster sucks. Their incoming freshmen suck. John Beilien should get down on his knees and thank God every day for the charred remains of the Indiana Hoosiers or they'd be a lock for last in the Big 10. Isn't Beilien more of a "system coach" than anything? I think if he actually got a recruiting class of players that can play in his system, his team can play above their talent level and surprise some people. It will be a long time before Michigan can recruit 4 and 5 star players with regularity though, if ever under Beilien. Michigan sports in general is probably at its low point in the school's history.
  15. The Wings play the Thrashers on Friday, so if they win the Hawks can't take over first place. But I like the sentiments.
  16. Out 6 weeks too. I don't wish injury on anyone, but this really helps our guard glut. It's going to be hard to work Hughes back into the rotation in December.
  17. Seems to be a lot of Phillies fans at the game. Shocking.
  18. I can't believe Ben Zobrist is the starting RF for the AL Champions in Game 1 of the World Series.
  19. That sucks. Our bullpen would be horrible. And I'd miss Woody
  20. (except for the 26 years where one team did get the job done)
  21. I just sent an email to the creator of that site:
  22. I always thought that the Phillies were one of the more premier teams in baseball. Not on the Yankees, Red Sox, Cubs, Cardinals, Giants, Dodgers level, but just a step below with teams like the Tigers.
