  1. I started Goff while opponent started Lamar so figures
  2. It’s crazy to see the usage of all the WRs instead of like forgetting Mooney exists for 2 weeks
  3. Great pass by Bagent. Love seeing Scott getting more chances with Bagent in
  4. It’s in Chicago and they don’t like the corpse of Brian Hoyer much more than the unknown in Bagent?
  5. That was awful. The whole game. We knew it would be terrible and it still seemed worse than I expected
  6. I bet he would have interest, not sure if the Bears would. The year he interviewed with the Vikings the Bears made an informal call but didn’t progress beyond that. Maybe they’re more desperate this time around but I doubt it, they seem stuck in their ways.
  7. This whole discussion is what’s so frustrating about developing QBs. We talk about development and teams that fail to develop, but since virtually no 1st round QBs have ever failed on their first team and then became a star on their second team it’s hard to say for sure. Or you can look at 2 QBs who are remarkably similar in style and traits and one becomes a HOFer and the other one is a bust. It all feels so random and whenever I feel like there’s a tiny bit of science to it, it seemingly is proven wrong. Other than a couple of no doubt QBs it seems like luck of the draw. of course it would be a little less frustrating if the Bears ever even once came out on top with their selected QB.
  8. Fields, Roschon, Nate Davis all declared out. Wright is questionable. Seems like the Bears always just get leveled by injuries from the same positon groups at the same time. Earlier it was the entire secondary out. Now our top 3 RB and 3/5 of our line are out or struggling with injuries.
  9. Like I said, if that's the route he is going to go then he is going to get hammered
  10. He's already adamantly denied knowing anything about it. But there's reports now that they've identified the staffer, and reports on UM message boards (whose insider credentials verified by the admins) that he was sending friends not affiliated with the program (aka unpaid) to games to record signals. I'm guessing the staffer decided that he could play in the gray area and claim they weren't affiliated with the program if caught. Not sure how much Harbaugh knew...I'd think he would have to have some idea, but the staffer is a former military code breaker who was hired to read and decade opponents signs by watching game tape and at games (he's seen on the sideline of photos released). I'm not being ignorant here, just playing devil's advocate, but its possible Harbaugh knew he had this great sign stealer and never questioned how he was so good at what he did/assumed he was just a military grade codebreaker that could really do this on the fly. Either way, Harbaugh has to know what is going on in his program per NCAA regulations so it would still fall on him. Slightly humorous but there's also a report that OSU knew about the sign stealing before last year's game and apparently changed up all their signals and changed them again at halftime of the game. Michigan outscored OSU 28-3 after halftime.
  11. Hawks are getting housed. Bedard has had a rough game too it seems like.
  12. Really? They havent played since Monday.
  13. Ironing out the kinks for when they really need it?
  14. I always see people suggest this but a wild card personality that wants control over roster decisions is exactly the type of person the McCaskey's would flee from lol.
  15. Stealing signs is not listed as prohibited anywhere in NCAAs rules. What Michigan is being accused of is traveling to opponent games in an attempt to steal their signs, which was legal until 1994. When it was prohibited apparently it was done so as a cost saving measure, which many Michigan fans are pointing out as why this is ridiculous. But I read cost saving as more of a "prevent big programs from getting a competitive edge over small programs who can't afford to send their staff to opponent games". Who knows, part of me thinks it seems pretty petty, the non-biased part of me sees a pattern of Harbaugh lightly sticking his toe over the line on multiple issues during his time at Michigan and waiting to see if he gets caught so this is probably another example. The one funny thing I've seen pointed out is that they almost certainly wouldn't have sent someone to attend a TCU game since most people thought it was unlikely that UM would be paired with TCU, and in that game they gave up 51 points (37 allowed by the defense). But that would ignore other games like the Big Ten championship games against Iowa and Purdue, neither of whom they played that season and neither of whom had locked up a spot until after Michigan locked up theirs. Sure its Big Ten West fodder for them but they destroyed both of them pretty badly.
  16. Of course Michigan is accused of illegally stealing opponents signs. I'm not allowed to have nice things in sports.
  17. Guessing this is why they aren't bringing Fulmer back
  18. ESPN did an article about historical events that would have gone differently with VAR and of course they include the handball vs Germany in 2002. Still drives me crazy thinking about it. 1-1 while playing the last 40+ minutes 11v10 gives us a great chance to play South Korea in the semis. Aghhh, angry all over again https://www.espn.com/soccer/story/_/id/38290857/how-var-changed-soccer-most-controversial-moments
  19. I say we just draft both, loan one of them out to another NFL team for a season and see which one develops better. Oh wait, you can't loan out players in the NFL, I forgot. Seriously though, we haven't even come close to securing the top pick and already I'm tortured by the thought of picking Williams or Maye and screwing it up once again while the other becomes a franchise QB. Sad life we live as Bears fans...
  20. lol if this is true, even if he clearly won’t get it, it says a lot about how horsefeathers annoying it is going to be to get him to come to Chicago if they have the 1st pick. He’s going to want to be courted and I could see the McCaskeys acting like that’s beneath them and taking Maye or someone else and watch him become a HOF QB elsewhere
  21. Lmao dont see an indirect free kick from inside the box often. That was awesome by Gio
  22. I am enjoying this match more than the last one. 3 goals from Gio, Pulisic and Balogun makes it even better.
  23. Sure but I highly doubt they would do that for the 2nd choice in QB. Maybe for the 1st pick but even then I’m not sure. That’s a ton of draft capital to move up 2-3 spots and we’re seeing teams like the 49ers with Lance and Panthers with Young regret giving up as much capital as they did for a non guaranteed star QB, so I wouldn’t be surprised if the market dips a bit unless it’s for a no doubt star QB
  24. Yep and that is why im fully in favor of keeping both picks unless we could potentially trade down into 2 top 10 picks in 2024, and the only team that can do that is Arizona. There is always risk to the draft but the best chance of getting blue chippers is in the top 5 or 10. Still drives me nuts that Poles got rid of a legitimate blue chipper in Roquan for a late 2nd round pick and 5th round pick.
