  1. And you wouldn't have posted this if Soriano was 2-2 today That's his point though. How likely was he to go 2-2? Much less likely than 0-2.
  2. Sweet we have those pesky Cubs right where we want them. Oh wait that's right those are the Brewers...uh oh.
  3. If Fuld had led off, Lee would have gotten a hit. Damn you Lou, its completely your fault Lee struck out.
  4. I think Hoffpauir is a perfect bat off the bench now that he's proven he can come in to pinch hit and produce. His .730s OPS doesn't really impress me as a corner OF.
  5. Derrek Lee is on pace for this season... .285/.363/.502 33 HR 112 RBI (only) 28 2Bs
  6. Guess you haven't paid much attention to him this year Oh, come on man. We're all capable of looking his stats up. We all know what he's doing this year. Two things though...I'm still not going to lose sleep over trading him, and if you say you thought he'd even have one decent season in the future, you're a liar. I'm not losing sleep either, but let's not pretend the trade was a wash I wasn't aware that Aardsma was still on the White Sox. The White Sox got rid of Aardsma after one season, and he bounced around the league before finally finding success 3 seasons later. The Cubs sorta got production from Cotts at least last year, so its not as much of a bad trade as you suggest.
  7. Gregg is probably going to come in for a non save situation.
  8. The only thing that bothers me about Fox so far is that he chases a lot of bad pitches.
  9. For the first time in awhile, there is a part of the lineup that I look forward to seeing and expect results from. The Lee-Bradley-Fox-Soto part of the lineup that is.
  10. Yay every Cub but Demp has a hit tonight.
  11. Damn, hit it too low and not hard enough. Decent pitch to drive though.
  12. Thy Fuld hast taken pity on thy lowly Brewers.
  13. Bradley the only Cubs regular without a hit tonight.
  14. Yes it has, especially so because this is a huge game and we all expected to probably be in a tense battle tonight and its turned into hopefully a laugher.
  15. Walking the pitcher is not the way to protect a big lead.
  16. Has anyone ever hit for the HR cycle in a game before? Lee is halfway there with the 2 hard ones out of the way.
  17. That granny reminded me of ARams last year vs. Philly in that when he hit it, it was such a no doubter I got to actually enjoy the monsterous blast while it was still in the air.
  18. Then Bradley grounds out weakly on the first pitch. I love it.
  19. Holy crap, 2 HR 7 RBIs. Unbelievable. He's making it hard to leave off the All Star team.
  20. They are actually powering Wrigley Field all by themselves right now
  21. It's funny that you laugh about that since we are pretty much the kings of bringing in a reliever and having him walk the first batter he faces.
  22. Please hit a grand slam or at least break this one open.
