  1. ESPNnews has been renamed "Manny Ramirez is BACK! News" today. But that's not the real reason I'm bumping this thread. I hadn't heard much talk about Juan Pierre and his awesome start much lately. So I looked at the numbers. First 20 games: .425/.495/.598/1.093 Last 30 games: .244/.299/.283/.582 But yeah thanks for all the stories about poor Juan Pierre being a bench player on the Dodgers and that they wouldn't miss a beat with Juan Pierre instead of Manny.
  2. BTW, that makes it 5 out of the last 8 home games have ended in walkoff wins, and 5 of the last 6 wins at Wrigley.
  3. How does 2 games make Fuld a hot hand anyways? Fukudome was 4-8 with 2 BBs during a 2 game stretch (June 20-21) last month (exactly what Fuld did) but happened to be in the middle of a month where he had like a .530 OPS. I'm not saying he's not hot right now, but 2 games doesn't prove that he is. Where were you people when Bobby Scales, a player of similar minor league success and upside, got off to a hot start in May?
  4. I was already clicking "reply" to post my disapointed "darn he took strike 3" and then his horribly awful/awesome umpire just stood there and did nothing. I'd be pissed if I was a Brewers fan...I'd also convinently forget about how they scored their run right about now.
  5. Wow.....2 of the 3 runs this game were on absolutely awful ball 4 calls.
  6. It's what smart managers do. Unless that lefty you walked has a .646 OPS vs. RHPs this year. Sorry, I wasn't agreeing with the move. I was quoting Mr. Burns. Dammit I missed a Simpsons reference!
  7. I have a feeling he's gonna swing at ball 4
  8. It's what smart managers do. Unless that lefty you walked has a .646 OPS vs. RHPs this year.
  9. It's just a hard luck turn of events for us. It happens. So was Bradley losing the ball in the sun (which can happen to any outfielder) but a bunch of people saw fit to complain about that and tell Bradley to go eff himself. Come on, you're just angry because it didn't work out for us. We all are. But seriously, tell me what the difference is. Are you implying that the stereotype of Cubs fans is true? (btw, I'm completely kidding)
  10. I've noticed today that Theriot likes to clap when he's on base.
  11. Come on dude. Fuld has made 2 outs in every trip to the plate today, while Soriano has only made 1. Soriano is actually twice as effective as Fuld today.
  12. Then you take your chances with Hill up, the bases loaded and one out. Fuld hit that on the button. That's almost always a single short of what happened happening: the infielder making a perfect leaping stab at it. You can't gamble like that's likely to happen when a single is the far more likely outcome whenever a ball is hit like that in that direction. Yeah if that get's through, its possible that Fontenot needs every inch of that break to score on Cameron's arm.
  13. What? Marshall can only pitch to one left handed batter and that's it.
  14. I'm guessing they're busy making fun of our board having a hard-on for Sam Fuld. It's kind of tongue-in-cheek. Mine isn't "kind of" tongue-in-cheek.
  15. Thy Glorious Samuel Fuld the Great hath taken pity on thy Beer makes from the stead of Milwaukee.
  16. SAM FULD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IF I AM NOT WORTHY TO RECEIVE THE, ONLY SAY THE WORD AND I SHALL AVERT MINE EYES
  17. Why in Fuld's name is Fontenot up to face a LHP? Wow Edit: And I'm a moron.
  18. Oh wait, Bradley just thought Gregg needed extra work. Thanks big guy!
  19. Milton Brant Brownly (Stolen from the Brewers board)
  20. Here comes Braun!!! And he's hit a couple right on the button today. If there's anyone that can make it through the wind it's him. Thanks Milton.
  21. I almost hope we lose this now so the scorn on Bradley is unbelievably bad.
