    I keep waiting for the “good” part of the Cubs lineup to be coming up and then I realize there isn’t one without Seiya and Bellinger while Morel and a few others are slumping. There are still good hitters in the Cubs lineup just not much of a fearsome section that you look forward to.

    So weird when it feels like the team is rolling and then 2 days later it feels completely different like they can’t do anything right. Mets have lost 5 of 7, hopefully we’re catching them at a good time.

    So that’s 60% of our starting rotation including our ace, our 2 best hitters and probably best reliever all hurt.

    And that’s why you try to trade back in. When a guy with a 3rd round grade drops to the 5th and you have conviction in him. Booker took a top 30 visit to Chicago so obviously they liked him

    Gotta think the Bears can find a way to get back into the 5th or 6th round. Bears have a decent number of later picks next year and seems like there are always teams that end up with a lot of late round picks and not enough roster spots.

    Yeah not a big fan of drafting specialists especially when you only have 4 picks and that was your last one (unless they trade back in) but whatever. If they didn’t see anyone they loved and he was their BPA so be it. Eberflus can’t love not taking a single defensive player but we’ve committed plenty of resources over the last 2 years

    If my math is correct this is the 21st time in 26 games that the Cubs have had the lead in the 8th inning or later. The blown leads sucked but that is really impressive.
