Just wondering if this is supposed to happen or its an issue with my feed but I have had this post about Imanaga pinned to the top of my feed ever since the signing happened. Given that there are only 2 comments to the article and none in the past couple of weeks it doesn't make sense for me to see that post every single time I view my feed. Am I the only one that has this issue?

Heck it kind of bothers me that we're making roster decisions based on Busch even though he's much farther along in his development cycle. Just feel like we should have more flexibility at 1B in case he struggles. Don't want to be stuck in another situation like last year with Hosmer/Mancini where it becomes a black hole for us. I do like Shaw but I agree we shouldn't be holding spots on the roster for him. That's what a small market club like the Royals would do.

I highly doubt all 4 of them will go in the first 7 non-Caleb/Maye picks but if it happened I suppose I'd go BPA, ideally OT or Edge

Reported at 6'1 but I bet he's closer to 6 foot even when he's measured. That's really the only reservation I have about Caleb but he's not Bryce Young/Kyler Murray short (both 5'10)

Just because I'm getting nervous that the deadline is creeping closer for Caleb, how does your draft plan change if for some reason Caleb stays in college? Do you zero in on Maye, look at the next tier of QBs that might be available at 9 (or a #1 trade down to 5-8), consider sticking with Fields? While I see why people like Maye, I feel like Caleb not declaring would really shake things up.

Their arguments are that an offense that fits fields and additional weapons will make Fields a great QB. You know if every other variable is perfect then he’s good.

Really want to know what the Bears did to the football gods to piss them off. Love has 19 TD and 1 INT in his last 9 games and a QB rating over 108 in 8 of those 9 games

I think its like asking why the Beatles broke up. There is not one definitive answer or reason. Phil might have "left" after 98 but it was Krause told Phil it was going to be his last season coaching the Bulls even if he went 82-0 and won the title. He already had Tim Floyd handpicked as his successor. Reinsdorf did push back on Krause's statement and tried to retain Jackson but I think Phil was mentally coaching that season as his last with the Bulls and wasn't going to come back regardless. It's true that Jordan repeatedly said that season that he wouldn't play for another coach so if Phil left, he would leave. Pippen was going to be a FA and looking for a huge payday plus was dealing with chronic back issues. He was also pissed off at his previous contract and held a grudge against the organization so no guarantees he even comes back to the team. Rodman was turning 37 and had a steep decline almost immediately following the season. There are other reasons as well. It wasn't just Phil and it wasn't just Krause.

Hopefully this causes people to reconsider the role Krause played in the dynasty. He had his flaws but they don't win 6 titles without several of the moves he made. Jordan introduced a new generation of fans to his personal hatred of Krause via The Last Dance so in some ways he bears some responsibility for what happened tonight.

Damn, when I saw this yesterday I figured he was on board with coming to Chicago But seriously, I'm not sure how much sense that makes. Couldn't he just refuse to sign with the Bears or at least make it heavily known that he doesnt want to play for Chicago? Wouldn't be the first top QB to do so and get their way. Seems stupid to play another year of college football if you are ready for the NFL because the team with the number 1 pick won't make a decision on how they plan to use the pick on January 15th. Also doesn't make sense without at least talking to the Bears or seeing who they hire at OC.

The inability to figure out defense is mind numbing. Every offseason portal guy was considered a good defender and KenPom liked Michigan somewhere in the 40s on the strength of their defense before the season but this years defense is somehow worse than the previous 2 years. It's amazing how Beilein could spend years building this great culture, almost making Michigan look blue bloodish if you squinted your eyes and ignored the decade in the wilderness, and in just a couple of years its destroyed. Howard really should have mixed up his assistants last year at the very least...not doing so I guess gives him a potential argument for him keeping his job (not saying he will necessarily but he can at least claim he can get things back on track by replacing assistants). Also shouldn't have spent the last 2 offseasons to get TSJ and Caleb Love on campus when it was apparently clear they would have major admissions issues. Will they fire Howard? If he wasn't Fab 5 legend Juwan Howard, he might have already been fired, especially considering the various incidents. It's really hard to ignore the massive decline from 2021 to now but he might be able to talk himself into one more year to the delight of the rest of the Big Ten. Football team has certainly helped mask how bad its been but now the focus is on the mess that men's basketball.

FWIW his agency's baseball office is located in Chicago so he likely set up a base of operations here while he was preparing for/going through FA. Certainly an advantage for the Cubs for him to get comfortable here though. And thankfully the weather wasn't too bad in December.

Yeah that's one of them. Crawly is just a superfan but he's made connections over the years and not someone who would make something up for clout. Doesn't mean he'll ultimately be proven right but its a credible rumor imo.

He's too much of a wild card personality for the McCaskeys. They dealt with Ditka and don't want to go through that circus again. Plus they likely hate the idea of giving a head coach the amount of control over the roster as Harbaugh would likely want. Just my 2 cents.
