  1. The 36th and final week of the NHL season is upon us. How will it end?
  2. Toews is starting the game on a line with Hossa and Kopetsky.
  3. Lineups are the same as Game 4. Hawks are 13-2 in the playoffs with Burish in the lineup and 1-4 without him.
  4. Just by judging by pregame quotes from various Flyers Ive heard on NHL Network and now NBC, Philly seems extremely confident tonight. They absolutely do not even fathom losing tonight.
  5. The anxiety is killing me. Why couldnt have San Jose just beaten us or something. (kidding) The anxiety will be worth it if we win. If not, it will be an extra punch in the gut.
  6. My stomach is legit turning right now.
  7. I don't understand your sig. why is that guy circled? Just shows the horrible breakdown in the Sharks D that allowed Buff to skate through the middle of the ice and put an unchallenged shot on net in OT.
  8. Whatta scrub
  9. The Philadelphia Union (MLS team) came out in Flyers styled unis for last nights game IN CHICAGO vs. the Fire. The Fire of course won 2-1. Good omen. http://enrico.blogs.com/.a/6a00d83451af4b69e20133f037b8bb970b-pi
  10. Look up 5 posts.
  11. I don't know why, but I really like this image: http://www.chicagotribune.com/media/photo/2010-06/54132926.jpg If only a non-scrub was the Hawk in the picture I posted this on facebook also, but I am putting the Over/Under on Chelsea Daggers tonight at 3.5 (including a potential post-victory playing), and I am taking the over.
  12. ^^ that's really weird..especially the part about the Celtics considering him a career assistant. Guess we'll have to wait and see. There was also a report from an Orlando reporter saying that sources told them LBJ and Bosh were "seriously considering" joining Wade in Miami, and taking a slight pay cut to do so in hopes of winning a championship.
  13. ridiculous. I honestly don't know why this is happening. We've all seen Philly get away with blatent penalties all series. If I was a conspiracy theorist, I'd suggest that the NHL thought the Blackhawks would roll over Philly coming into the series and had to find some way to try to even them up a bit. If that were the case, I'd expect a much more even officiated game in Game 5. It would make sense to have this occur too. 3rd and 4th biggest NHL markets, both teams have tradition and passionate fan bases. The Blackhawks are a really enjoyable team to watch (or so I've been told) and the Flyers are the ultimate Cinderella. There are storylines galore, and if there was a series that the NHL could use to put their game into the national spotlight, this would have to be it. That said, I just have a hard time believing in conspiracy theories unless there is some sort of proof (NBA Doughnahy). So it really perplexes me as to why the Hawks are getting such a bad shake from the officials. Even weirder is how no one is picking up on the disparity.
  14. I've decided that I am confident there will be no Game 7 in this series. Basically whoever wins tomorrow will finish it off in game 6. Even though we haven't won in Philly since Bill Clinton was president (seriously), I am not scared of winning there if we can take back the momentum with a win tomorrow. OK, I'm gonna stop thinking of the Blackhawks, I've been doing good today.
  15. Yeah, you should use a 0 instead of the o (so passw0rd). Unbelievably clever. Hackers deserve to take info from the site if they figure that one out.
  16. I honestly don't know what to think. I am kinda shellshocked. Going from winning 10 out of 11 games to this, it doesn't seem real. I'm still thinking 50/50 only because we have home ice. Hopefully that means something.
  17. There it is folks, the solution to our offensive problems. The best offense is a good defense I always say! Which is funny because Soto has been hitting decently over the last 7-10 days (at least according to OPS). Oh, also funny because Koyie Hill sucks, and it doesnt matter how often the opponents run if you can't score runs. Geez.
  18. And I can't believe you have nothing better to do than to respond to every single post I make without even really saying anything at all. Erik you can't really believe this can you? A perfect game is a game that is perfect. A walk is not perfect regardless of whether the runner gets picked off or whatever.
  19. Man only 1 run again tonight? This offense blows. Wasn't Rudy supposed to make things better? Cubs OPS over the last 7 days (not sure if this includes tonight, I pulled up numbers on ESPN) Nady: 1.700 (10 AB) Fontenot: 1.278 (15 AB) Colvin: .933 (10 AB) Soto: .833 (14 AB) Baker: .786 (6 AB) Fukudome: .675 (25 AB) Lee: .646 (21 AB) Hill: .644 (10 AB) Soriano: .544 (23 AB) Ramirez: .523 (11 AB) Castro: .444 (27 AB) Theriot: .399 (22 AB) Byrd: .377 (20 AB) Notice how the players with the highest OPS are the players with the least ABs. Now maybe that's sample size but it's odd nonetheless. We've scored just 13 runs in our last 8 games, and we haven't scored more than 6 runs in a game since May 6th (25 games). This offense blows.
  20. I'm just not liking the Hawks defense in this game. The way they've had trouble clearing and making really bad turnovers reminds me of how they played in March. The Flyers defense, on the other hand, has looked ridiculously good. I can't say enough good things about them.
  21. He kept wiping out randomly too when had the puck. I don't know if that's just a coincidence or whatever, but it looked really odd to see a hockey player just trip over himself multiple times in a game.
  22. Penalties called when the score is within 1 goal: WCF (Opponents-Hawks): G1: 0-5 G2: 1-0 G3: 6-2 G4: 1-4 Series: 8-11 SCF: G1: 0-4 G2: 4-2 G3: 3-3 G4: 2-1 Series: 9-11 Total: 17-22 Penalties when the score is within 2 goals: WCF: G1: 5-0 G2: 2-5 G3: 6-2 G4: 2-5 Series: 15-12 SCF: G1: 4-0 G2: 4-4 G3: 3-3 G4: 4-2 Series: 15-9 Total: 30-21 I didn't include 10 minute misconducts or offsetting penalties.
  23. And everyone prepare for the worst crowd ever at the UC on sunday. They will make Game 1 of the 08 NLDS look like a frenzied crowd.
