That was a fantastic PP for the Hawks, and they have pretty much dominated this game thus far. But of course we're losing. Hawks doing a great job of getting the puck into Philly's zone. I mean fantastic job. And they are winning a lot of the puck battles. Very encouraging signs despite the score.

And then he grabbed Ladds stick and held onto it so that the Flyers could clear it. Someone decked him for it though.

We got a penalty! And all it took was for the puck handler to be blatently hooked and for him to throw his hands up in the air in disgust. Leighton is getting stronger as their series goes on.

That was a bad turnover, not necessarily something that resulted from bad PK. That would have been a goal at full strength

We were starting to really outplay the Flyers for a stretch but a stupid penalty and a bad turnover changes all hopes of putting some pressure on Philly. That hurt.

Exactly. It was a legit call but I've seen the flyers get away with worse penalties. Now what ever good play the Hawks were doing before the penalty is probably ruined by the goal and the momentum it carries.

I just looked it up, Ladd/Boynton for Burish/Hendry. Also Carcillo is out for the Flyers. Replacing him is Van Riemsdyk

I would give Lee more than a 7/10 for last year. I'd give him a solid 8/10 for .306/.393/.579/.972 with at least average D.

I've been saying this is the 4-1 break it open game tonight with 3-4 points from the 1st line so I'll stick with that. Either way I'm pumped. Heading out to get my Bell's Two Hearted 6-pack and they're 3-0 in the playoffs when I drink that during the game. I would love if this game was like either Game 3 of the Vancouver series or Game 2 of the Sharks series. Both games on the road, both games I came into the game very nervous, and in both teams the Hawks surprised me by scoring first. Then scoring second, and then scoring third. And before you knew it, it was a somewhat relaxing victory. I would kill for a game like that tonight. Cannot handle 3 straight periods of drama (although I'd prefer it over a Flyers blowout :))

In less than eight days, it ends in hugs or bloodshed. I'd be depressed for a couple of days...I don't think I'd kill anyone though. Despite my negativity after the game on Wednesday, I still feel like we are pretty likely to win the Cup. I reserve the right to feel different after tonight's game though. But my initial thoughts are that if we lost tonight we'd still be 55/45 in my mind, assuming its not too much of a gruesome loss.

This is all a publicity stunt that ends with him back in Cleveland. Nike probably asked him to throw the series against the Celtics in order to build the drama. OK, maybe not but wow that is ridiculous. If he is going to play this dramatic game that potentially costs us top FAs because we court him for too long and they lose interest in Chicago and sign elsewhere, I'd rather just not go after him. It's an incredibly douchey thing to do but you really don't want him any more? Somehow I think if/when Lebron is dropping 40/12/13 on the Bulls next year on some other team you'll think not wanting him because of an offseason ad campaign will seem pretty silly. I don't want him if he's going to make this whole FA thing into a big extravaganza that lingers until mid-August. I'd rather try to scoop up Bosh and sign and trade for Johnson, then make LeBron the number 1 priority, sit around and wait until August, see Bosh goto LA in a S+T for bynum, see Joe Johnson go to New York, Wade stay in Miami with Amare, and then finally LeBron "decides" to stay with Cleveland after his big dog and pony show, leaving us fighting with the Knicks for Carlos Boozer and David Lee. Now if we could scoop up Bosh in a sign and trade on July 1st, and decided we were going to wait for LeBron, I'd be ok with that. We just can't take the risk of striking out by putting the ball in the court of Mr. Ego.
