    I don't think he'll be coming back. And if he was, he's not going to drag his almost 40 year old body up to Chicago to play at Soldier Field in December.

    Yup....man it sucks to be champs, we have to help all these other stupid teams sell out their games. I guess that's just par for the course when you win the stanley cup. Despite what other (canucks) fans might believe, its not all fun and games as the champs. it's a tough job but some team has to do it.

    That's slightly interesting. Mostly because 3.86 is just about where you'd expect Z's season to end at this days. That said, in past seasons, the 3.86 ERA would include his occasional blowup games, whereas this does not.

    I hate ticketmaster....I clicked refresh at 9:59:58, and it loaded ticket selection screen....i clicked 2 best available. Clicked submit at 10:00:04, it said sold out. The guy sitting next to me, casually hit refresh at 10:00:30, looked for 4 tickets best available, and got 4 tickets pulled up, about a minute after I was told they were sold out. Now hes selebrating and I'm pissed off at ticketmaster again. I swear I've never once gotten tickets on Ticketmaster for a high demand event. I'm like 0/15. Including Bears tickts the last 2 seasons, bears playoff tickets in 05 and 06, blackhawks season tickets the last 2 years (at least the games i wanted to go to), and blackhawks playoff tickets the last 2 years. I also pick one game, select 2 tickets best available and click submit with 5 seconds of them going on sale and ive not once pulled up and purchased tickets.

    He should fire his agent...it seemed even before arby everything was being handled foolishly. I think they estimated 2 things wrong...how much the monkier "Stanley Cup winning goalie" was worth and how important it was for the Hawks (under pressure of the fans) to bring back Niemi at any cost. That and it didn't help that the market was flooded was goalies and there just wasn't/isn't a big enough demand for Niemi outside of Chicago. I am going to really feel bad for him when he signs for like 1 year/1.5 million on another team.

    Lee is going to stay hot for the rest of the season and Hendry is going to give him a 3 year 30 mil deal isnt he?

    lol DLee decided to finally get hot in mid-August. Good news is he'll be hot for the playoffs... Oh wait.

    Just wanted to point out for those that are actually worried based on this game, that the 0-16 Lions went 4-0 in the preseason that year. Please do me a favor and do not take any stock in this. Do you people flip out when a Cubs starting pitcher gives up 4-5 runs in 3 innings in a Spring Training game? No because they aren't in season form yet, they aren't necessarily running plays that they will use in the same situation in the regular season. A lot of the time the players themselves are experimenting with different things to see if something works better (much like how in baseball a pitcher will work on, lets say, his breaking pitches during an outing and might get lit up as a result). And the most important thing, for those assured of their role, the intensity is much less than 100%.

    I'm not gonna lie the team hasn't looked very good at all tonight. That said, I don't put any stock in preseason. I was just hoping for something to entertain me for a few hours.

    The Chargers have been killing the Bears D, 1st team through now with passes right over the middle.

    Nice job Devin A. 2 catches in the red zone, one for a TD. Haine was up and down that drive. He looked very meh on a couple of plays, but showed good scrambling ability and good vision on others. The O-line was pretty bad on that drive. Here are the Bears running plays so far today: 1-10 Bears 30: Forte to right end for 1 yard. 1-10 Chargers 37: Forte to the right end for 2 yards. 2-8 Chargers 35: Forte up the middle for 2 yards. 1-10 Chargers 19: Forte up the middle for 2 yards. 2-20 Bears 37: Taylor up the middle for 7 yards. 1-10 Chargers 41: Taylor up the middle for -2 yards. 2-12 Chargers 43: Taylor up the middle for 1 yard. 1-10 Chargers 30: Taylor up the middle for 2 yards. 1-10 Chargers 18: Taylor to the left end for 2 yards. 1-7 Chargers 7: Taylor to the right for 0 yards. So 10 running plays, 9 of them for 2 yards or less, 1 was for 7 yards that was largely made by Taylor changing direction and making a nice juke move. Overall 10 rushes for 17 yards. Awful.

    Nice boot Gould. Hit a 52 yard FG but it was called back because of a penalty on San Diego. I don't see any improvement on the run blocking from the O-line so far. These guys have nowhere to run.

    It would make sense if he was hurt. Considering we have heard the Bears offense needs lots of repetition for the Martz offense to work in Week 1, 1 series is not enough (and Forte, Olsen and Kreutz also only played 1 series).

    Definitely some breakdowns in the secondary on that TD drive.

    First drive: Cutler: A Forte: D O-line: B-/C+ Knox: A Didn't really get a decent look at everyone else (Hester, Olsen, Clark)

    I feel like Forte dances too much at the line. I see him go through a hole on the o-line and theres just not enough burst. So far I think he has three 2 yard runs, and another 1 yard run. Edit: And now he just blew a block that led to Cutler getting sacked.

    There's the Forte I remember from last year. Runs directly into the line and gains a yard.
