I'm trying to remember how down we were on the Bears before the 2008 season. I remember many of us were predicting 4-5 wins. And they turned out to be decent. Then the last 2 years we predicted good things (07 and 09) they were mediocre to bad. Maybe the team will come out with a chip on their shoulder and dominate. -
You don't see a difference between the team with Crist and either Rees or Montana? Crist marched the team down the field for scores on his first 3 possessions. His bomb to Rudolph was perfect. He is not as accurate as Clausen last year, no doubt. But he's got less than 2 full games played so far. And much like last year, I expect the UM QB to be hurt by the end of the year as the wheels fall off. Robinson can't take that many hits every game. Well at least we have a fresh Forcier ready to go if that happens.

I don't think it was that horrible to not kick the FG....either you are down by 1 score or two scores going into halftime. It's a bit of a risk and I understand why some would rather kick the FG but I wouldnt have. Of course if they score a TD there and go on to win the game by less than 4 points, Kelly made a wise decision there and its barely a topic of discussion after the game.

Whats funny is that because of VT and Georgia losing, and Michigan being #26 in the AP last week, Michigan will probably be ranked next week, ensuring that they are ranked at some point every season in the last 45045948 years. Most will remember that UM was ranked for a couple of weeks between beating ND and losing to MSU last season. Most forget that Michigan was ranked #25 in the AP preseason poll the year before before losing to Utah and going 3-8.

Hahaha I forgot about that. Their players are as delusional as their fans. huh, i'm not sure i've ever met any Lions fan with a delusional sense of optimism Really? Wow I've never met any Lions fan that didnt have a delusional sense of optimism. Of course I live in Chicago and every Lions fan I encounter has lived with Bears fans in their faces all the times. I worked with a Lions fan that after the preseason in 08 where they went 4-0, he made me bet him that the Lions would win the division. He was so confident they would. They went 0-16. I felt too bad to even collect on the debt. When the Lions were 6-2, a couple of friends that are lions fans were looking up how much super bowl tickets would cost. I wish I was kidding. Even this year, another Lions fan I know saw the Lions schedule this year and his first reaction was how much he's going to love ruining the Bears home opener. At least this guy isnt guaranteeing a division title this year. But he is confident they will finish over .500 this year. -
I don't get that at all. That's the sort of feeling you get a couple hours after the game...I'd be happier than a pig in [expletive] right now as a Michigan fan. Why because we beat ND? We beat them last year. UM is hoping to progress this year, and they didn't look like a team that can do that. They will probably start 5-0 now (UMass, Bowling Green, @ Indiana) and then have to beat 1 of MSU, Iowa, Penn State, Illinois, Purdue, Wisconsin or Ohio State to become bowl eligible like we did last year and failed to do. It's too bad we don't have Minnesota on the schedule. If we did I could guarantee you we'd be bowling this winter.

I didnt even realize that this is Michigan's 2nd road win in RR's tenure. IIRC, his 1st was against Minnesota in the dome 2 years ago.

I agree...with 2 TOs left, we controlled the game completely. We could have easily run off 4 plays in that time if we had to.

No matter who wins, I think both teams proved today that they probably aren't going to be any better than about a 6-6 team at best. Notre Dame probably comes out of the game looked a little better. I woudlnt be impressed at their D at all, but they look less one dimensional on offense than Michigan.

So Notre Dame gave up the 2nd longest rushing TD in their history and then made the 2nd longest TD pass of all time.

Bring in Tate Forcier! He knows how to make last second drives to beat ND!

Denard Robinson maybe, but I wouldnt get scared about Michigan until they beat a proven halfway decent team. Of course this ND game isnt over also.
