  1. Oh also, UNCLE MILTY WAS RIGHT: Thank God Nick Collins doesn't have his kids in Chicago schools.
  2. This is a couple of pages ago, but I love the Packers fan pointing out the Packers beat the Bears twice in their 13-3 season in 2001. Isn't that exactly what happened in reverse in 2007? (Bears beat the Packers twice in their 13-3 season)
  3. I'm not sure what you mean. First few weeks of the season we beat GB 26-0, DET 34-7, MIN 19-16, defending NFC champ SEA 37-6, BUF 41-7 before the lucky Arizona game. Before that game we were generally regarded as the first or second best team in the league. We were #1 in ESPN power rankings.
  4. Look, we can't be held responsible for what the White Sox segment of Bears fans does for fun.
  5. No you aren't. Yes. I am. All I'm saying is that after a comment like this there had better not be complaining about how the Bears "should have won" if there is a game they lose where there were a bunch of missed tackles. Again, what the hell are you talking about? Do you ever expect a Bears fan to come onto a forum heavily populated by Packers fans minutes after a Bears loss and immediately say "we gave you the game because of missed tackles. You got a gift win."? If you do, you are unbelievably insane.
  6. A big reason why the Bears were even in a position to win the game there is because the Packers consistently shot themselves in the foot with mistakes and dumb penalties. How many games are the Packers going to allow a team to stay close to them when they should be blowing them out before you admit that its killing the Packers chances of being a SB contender? No doubt the Packers are very talented, and they would probably have to still be my favorite for the division at this point, but you should feel down about your teams chances to win in the playoffs with such an undisciplined team. This is the first game this year the Packers shot themselves in the foot with penalties. They only had 2 penalties against the Eagles and had 6 penalties against the Bills, but that was a blowout anyways. Like I said before, today the penalties are disappointing and a few of them downright moronic but one game doesn't make a pattern. I'm sorry but you just nearly set the franchise mark for most ever penalties in a game, and you led the league in penalties last year and you aren't finding a pattern based off the fact that you didn't shoot your self in the foot for 2 whole games in a row, 1 being a blowout.
  7. PS, I love how we are able to affect the WC race the next 3 days. While I'd probably like SD to make it over someone like Atlanta, I'm not really hugely against any of those 3 teams making it.
  8. I thought that was gone off the bat, then I remembered that we were in Petco. Remarkably similar to how a game ended in SD in 2008 with Kerry Wood on the bump.
  9. C'mon Marmol. Don't blow this. Z might beat you up in the clubhouse.
  10. So then if the Bears lose a game due primarily to yardage given up due to missed tackles, do Bears fans then forfeit the right to complain about it because "this is how your team has been losing for years?" (that isn't directed at you, Wilson, but I think it's a fair question.) lol you are so bad at logical arguments This. I'm just making the same argument you guys were. Sorry you can't handle it turned back around on you. No you aren't.
  11. I don't understand why you are so proud of that. You don't seem to realize that the Bears didn't play their best game either.
  12. So then if the Bears lose a game due primarily to yardage given up due to missed tackles, do Bears fans then forfeit the right to complain about it because "this is how your team has been losing for years?" (that isn't directed at you, Wilson, but I think it's a fair question.) Dude what the hell are you talking about? You came on here minutes after your team lost bitching to a group of Bears fans about how the Packers gave the game to the Bears in the most bitter sounding way possible. No one said you couldn't complain about it. You've been doing this stuff for years, why stop complaining now?
  13. Good comeback.. Do the Bears have "no chance" in Green Bay also? It depends on where both teams are at during that point of the season. I HIGHLY suspect the Packers will be in the driver's seat. Look at this game and tell me the Packers aren't the better team and Aaron Rodgers isn't twice the QB that Jay Cutler is. Fine, Packers lost so congrats to all the Bears fans. I liken it to a baseball team that gets 10 hits and loses 2-1 due to two solo homers. See you in January. Dude come on, you may have gotten a ton of yards on offense but your team basically self destructed like it has for the last 2 years. The Bears defense is designed to bend but not break so getting large chunks of yards is part of it. But despite getting these long drive, when the field shortens the Bears D managed to hold them to FGs a couple of times, yes aided partially by penalties, but the Bears have been playing defense like this for years and it's worked out well. The more plays run the more chance of a turnover or a stop. I can't believe you actually come out of this game cocky when you are seeing the Packers lose by the same means that they have for 2 years. How can you feel confident when your team is liable to self destruct at any moment? It doesn't make any sense. Stop being bitter, man up, and respect the team that just beat you at least for one night. The turning point of the game was when Urlacher stripped the ball and the ball inexplicably didn't go out of bounds. It's something the Bears do well and they got it at a critical point of the game. It wasn't until that play that I thought the Packers were more in danger of losing than winning. But it's something I can live with and, while certainly frustrating that the Packers lost, it doesn't significantly diminish my outlook on the rest of the season. I still think the Packers are the class of the NFC North. So yeah, props to the Bears, they won fair and square tonight. But the season is a marathon, not a sprint. A big reason why the Bears were even in a position to win the game there is because the Packers consistently shot themselves in the foot with mistakes and dumb penalties. Stop being bitter, man up, and respect the team that just beat you at least for one night. Partially? Really? 17 penalties for however many yards it was only "partially" helped you? I was referring specifically to the end of a couple of long Packer drives that ended in FGA's, not the game as a whole.
  15. It is certainly quite odd that the Packers fans were really silent all game in this thread and they finally make themselves known after they lose. You Packers fans are a strange bunch.
  16. Yeah, ok whatever. Come to Green Bay. Good comeback.. Do the Bears have "no chance" in Green Bay also? It depends on where both teams are at during that point of the season. 17. This game was very interesting. I wouldn't say that this was a great game in terms of it being well played. It was good in terms of it being close and going back and forth though. Both teams clearly didn't play their best game, and I still don't know just how good this team can be (but it's looking a lot better after beating Dallas and GB in back to back weeks). I'm just so psyched we won this one. I was strangely confident all day, and then once the game started and the Packers scored, I didn't feel great about our chances until that Packers fumble at the end.
  18. So are we going to just completely give up on running the ball this year? In years past, I would have said that we're never going to get anywhere if we can't establish the run and that even if we were winning without it eventually there would be a game where it burns us. But I'm starting to think that we can get away with not having much of a game. Cutler is so dynamic that he can still be successful even with defenses heavily defending against the pass.
  19. Agreed. I completely forgot about Forte until he made that catch on the last drive. And that is completely different than the Forte we've seen in the first 2 weeks who was an essential part of the game plan.
  20. erik you should no better to go posting in a thread that is packed (packed....get it?) with Bears fans minutes after your team loses a really close and tough game. I'm not saying your not allowed to but it's not going to get you anywhere to post at a moment like this, just as I wouldnt go posting on gateway redbirds after a huge Cubs loss to St. Louis. I know this isn't an official Bears only thread, but 90% of the people posting are bears fans.
  21. I agree the Packers and their lack of discipline aided the Bears in getting a victory tonight. But what does that say about the Packers, considering they've been pulling this stuff for 2 years now. Undisciplined teams like GB don't seem like SB contenders to me.
  22. Please God stop the kickoff return.
  23. Believe it or not but this is the 1st FG attempt under 20 yards in Robbie Gould's career.
  24. I would have taken the delay of game there just to make sure every last second is off the clock.
  25. Make that 0-7 from inside the 1 this year.
