It took Seiya 18 days to return from his oblique injury last year FWIW In 2022 he missed nearly 2 months with another oblique injury. Edit: nevermind, it took him 7 weeks to return from the injury in 2023. So 7 weeks and 8 weeks

Yeah I thought it was weird that they didn’t mention anything. He slowed up considerably on a ball he had a small chance to beat out and looked at but awkward.

So Busch is now 6th in the MLB in home runs, just one HR shy of being at the top of the leaderboard. Pretty fun story, hope he keeps it up. -
We'll see. Don't get me wrong, they definitely can easily dispose of him if he's not working out, but have to think the Cubs sold him on having a shot to stick on the MLB roster which is why he agreed to a minor league deal with the Cubs after refusing a minor league assignment with the Mets.

Crazy that he was playing a college hockey game as recently as Thursday, and 3 days later he's scoring a goal in the NHL @Old Style I have no idea, but I'm assuming there is a logical reason why. Feel like I've seen this happen with NCAA prospects towards the end of seasons. Since Nazar was only a Sophomore (I believe), perhaps this was a deal made to get him to forego the rest of his college eligibility? But I'm literally just guessing. Edit: What jersey said makes sense

Omg I’m having September flashbacks with the ****** Arizona pitchers lined up to start against the Cubs. edit: and the “someone worse” is the infamous Pfaadt who I was looking forward to facing last September due to his season ERA being over 6, but he ended up beating the Cubs twice and then pitching several important games for the DBacks in the playoffs.

Man I’d be so pissed if this same game happened in reverse with the Cubs playing the role of the Mariners. It almost wipes out the frustration of the 8-0 game.

I’m still confused by why Julio Rodriguez never PH and instead Pinch Ran. Wouldn’t you want him to get an AB in a 1 run game late? I could understand if they were just a team that when a player has an off day they are completely off the table for using but they used him for a pinch runner. Weird edit: I suppose given his struggles he may have just been taking a mental day from hitting. Im sure getting picked off doesn’t help his mental struggles though lol

If we win this game it would feel like thievery. Really nothing much on offense outside of our only hitter that’s hitting well right now going yard and multiple scoring rallies stopped by unlucky double plays

I wouldn't hate if we used the pick on the o-line but screw it I want a fantasy football team at my skill positions. Caleb Williams, D'Andre Swift, DJ Moore, Keenan Allen, Rome Odunze and Cole Kmet is just incredible with Roshon Johnson, Khalil Herbert and Gerald Everett as notable backups.

Ok 2-2 on the road trip (should be 3-1) and 4-4 (should be 5-3) so far during the gauntlet part of our schedule. Not bad all things considered
