  1. ?
  2. No question, the man has a deal with a devil True, I forgot about that. Still 20-1 is amazing. You don't beat the Pats in NE on just about any night.
  3. Nice throw brady. Holy [expletive] he has a 1st and goal just sitting there and he decides to overthrow his target and throw it 100 mph to boot so it hangs up there asking to be intercepted.
  4. That said theyve won like 20 home games in a row, holes or not. Now they are losing to an (albeit good) team with their backup QB making his first NFL start.
  5. Nice tackling you [expletive] idiot Patriots.
  6. And Matt Flynn is throwing the ball like hes a top flight QB in the league. Yup perfect The Patriots secondary is pretty [expletive]. Ya Cutler torched them last week too....... are you guys as miserable as cub fans as you as bears fans and i just don't notice it because i'm a cub fan? because you're unbearable as bears fans. Thanks, that's what we're going for.
  7. I'll kill you if you touch Toub.
  8. They aren't going to make the playoffs. Stop saying that, you are depressing me
  9. Bears arent gonna clinch the division this week are they
  10. This just makes the Bears domination look that much worse
  11. ok you are done
  12. Hmmm well maybe that Bears/PAckers playoff game will be at Lambeau...
  13. The Patriots are so good on offense. Unbelievable
  14. We have been electing to defer for the past 3 or 4 weeks. So no it was not. The Bears deferred against NE last week also. But then again Lovie is too dumb to pull off something like that.
  15. Meh, the Bears are used to playing on the worst surface in the league every year. Worst surface yeah. But the field never becomes solid like a rock. So while there is a danger to tear an ACL, which is a legit concern, at least players don't have to worry about becoming brain damaged by playing in Soldier Field's turf (at least any more than any other stadium in the league)
  16. Not really anything interesting, but Matt Dodge's (Giants punter) Twitter after the game:
  17. I'm thinking the most likely scenario now is this: Packers lose to Patriots Bears beat Vikings Packers beat Giants Bears lose to Jets Packers beat Bears If that happens, as long as the Saints and Eagles don't lose out, its gonna be Bears/Packers at Soldier Field in 3 weeks. Even if the Bears beat the Jets, its the same matchup as long as the Eagles win out (playing Vikings and Cowboys) Bears/Packers has a really good chance of happening.
  18. So I'm looking at the weather right now. Its 9 degrees out right now. The good news is that the high will get up to 28 tomorrow. The bad news is, it looks like theres snow in the forecast. Id rather it be 9 degrees out than play another snow game. Then again maybe a little snow will soften the ground a little bit
  19. great in September and October, maybe. Seems completely inadequate in cold weather That's kind of like saying they botched Madison Square Garden because it's not suited for international soccer competitions. Ecept not at all. It's a football field in Minnesota not designed for weather you can easily get in college football season. And there was talk of the Vikings sharing it at one point. Just makes no sense. There has been absolutely nothing to suggest that the Minneapolis weather will ever create such problems on the field during the college football season. Minneapolis Novembers are too warm for that and although sub-freezing weather certainly occurs, just like it does at lots of places, it doesn't happen for such an extended period of time during the college football season to create these conditions. Agreed. As I said on the last page, if they had planning to host this game a long time in advance, they would have taken precautions to prevent the snow from collecting on the field and the field wouldnt have iced over creating this issue. A simple tarp and some timely shoveling does wonders.
  20. No, but beating two playoff-caliber teams in back-to-back games won't be an easy task, even though both games are at Lambeau. Even if the Bears win the division before Week 17, they'll likely still be playing for the 2nd seed and a first-round bye in that game. Yeah but the point is that they now control their own destiny AND can afford to get demoralized by NE tonight and survive Rodgers not play and still control that destiny. Considering how bleak things were for them coming into today, Im sure Packers fans will take that. Im sure most Packers fans still believe that if their team is healthy they are the best team in the conference, so basically if the Packers take care of business, they are in the playoffs. Today's game against NE only really affects their divisional chances at this point. The fact that its looking somewhat likely that we might be seeing Bears/Packers from Solider Field on Wild Card Weekend is already getting me anxious. Still a long long way to go for that though. Bears just need to get in.
  21. Consensus is that it's a pretty great stadium. Opposite end of the spectrum from having to play in the dome for the Gophers. great in September and October, maybe. Seems completely inadequate in cold weather yea because they designed it for late January Is it January? Does it never get below freezing during college football season in Minneapolis? Of course it does. I will agree it seems poorly designed for cold weather but at the same time it seems like the biggest issue they are having is because they took no precaution to all the snow falling on the field because they had no reason to expect to use the field until spring practice. I'm sure if they had thrown a tarp on the field and/or shoveled the snow up before it had a chance to ice over, there would be little issue preparing for a game. I say all that and remember that the consession stands weren't designed to work under freezing temps. So yeah that part of it is poorly designed.
  22. both teams have a nearly identical point differential there's not much of a gap in terms of talent between the teams Yes we know it was a nice 44-6 win over the Rams. Sorry I'm just trying to rile you up sneaky. Good win today. Getting that road monkey off their backs is great for their confidence moving forward. Part of the process of learning how to close games is to have successes to draw back on. Lions should be legit dangerous next year with another good offseason.
  23. Well Giants up 24-3 at halftime. If we can clinch tomorrow, we will be in a position where we are rooting for the Packers to beat the Giants next week to help out our bye hopes. One step at a time though.
  24. I'm rooting for the Eagles. A Giants win gives them the head to head for the bye over us (if we can win tomorrow). An Eagles win keeps us in that spot. As someone pointed out earlier in the week, the WC is not very likely at this point, so I'm cheering for bye potential. Too bad its 14-3 giants now
  25. I can't believe the favre streak and the packers qb streak are ending within 6 days of each other.
