  1. No I find it awesome. It even better that Packers fans are so upset by it.
  2. Hope we play well today without Noah and Boozer. Ugh.
  3. Yeah I thought about that this morning. I think I am gonna try for just 1 ticket. This is one of those games where I don't care if I have to go by myself. And having better odds at getting 1 ticket is better to me than less odds at getting 2 tickets.
  4. Call me crazy, but I don't think anyone actually believes that. But thanks for pointing that out. :) so people are arguing about it because... Because its tradition, and due to the obvious preferential treatment the Bears get on this board, due to sharing a city and a fanbase with the team this board was founded to discuss, us Bears fans prefer a Packer fan not start this thread. It's really not a big deal, but it doesn't make me want to bitch about it less. 7 days until game time and there's sure to be even more stupid topics to banter about before game time.
  5. As a Bears fan... Reasons to feel confident: -As I pointed out early, for whatever reason the Bears defense has been able to have success against the Packers offense. The Packers havent scored more than 21 points against the Bears in their last 5 meetings. The 2 games this year, the Packers averaged 13.5 PPG. -The offensive line today wasn't even something the Bears won despite. The offensive line legitimately aided the Bears in their win. The real Bears offense was out there today, and the play calling led to putting the o-line in a position to be an asset. Not gonna be easy with Matthews and Co. coming to town, but if they can stick with what they are doing, they will be able to move the ball. -Cutler looked like a leader today. Played a great game and did some big things. -The game is at our home with our turf that we know the ins and outs of. Reasons to feel pessimistic: -The pass rush has suffered a bit the last few games. The Bears didn't really get any pressure against Seattle until the game was all but decided and they started rushing 6-7 guys at once. If they can't pressure Rodgers, it's gonna be a long game. -The Bears did not produce any turnovers today. It's probably a one off but it's weird that we played Seattle twice and didn't produce a single turnover in either game. If they can't put pressure on Rodgers, they sure as hell better find a way to produce turnovers. -Cutler had an excellent game, but he still made several really dumbfounding passes that were a result of either miscommunication, lack of accuracy, or just plain old dumb throws. All QBs make throws they regret or they misfire on, but we will need Cutler to really limit these throws next Sunday. He cannot throw the ball directly at an opponent on the 2 yard line next week. -Peppers needs to show up. I'm sure his presence had an effect on the game, but didn't really see him do much on the field. Overall, the Packers don't scare me at all. Not saying I don't respect them. They are a great team and we can obviously lose to them. But I'm not considering the Bears chances are any less than if we were playing Atlanta or Philly or whatever. This is a team we can, for whatever reason, play well against. In Week 16, I was a little scared when the Packers put up 40+ points against a good Giants D. How did the Bears respond? By holding the Packers to 10 points. Now the Packers have lit up another good team for 40+ points. Will the Bears respond in a similar way this time? I think so. Not ready to pick a winner yet, but I'm fairly confident that the game won't be decided until the last few minutes.
  6. Call me crazy, but I don't think anyone actually believes that. But thanks for pointing that out. :)
  7. He never starts it until the day after the game.
  8. Bears have now played 7 straight playoff games without having to go on the road. Their last road playoff game was 1994 against the 49ers.
  9. Considering the Bears for the most part made their offense extremely conservative the entire 2nd half, that's pretty bad.
  10. It's a Packer thread. ;) Well then change this to conference championship game discussion and we'll start our standard Bears thread.
  11. Jersey starts Bears threads, not Packer fans. He's started every game thread except 1-2. Getthing this off to a good start :)
  12. For a franchise as proud as the Pats, they've had 3 rather embarrassing playoff losses in the last 4 seasons. The first was the Super Bowl that ruined their season. The next was last years collapse at home against the Ravens. And now there is tonight which is pretty embarrassing even though they weren't the ones initiating the trash talks.
  13. Wow that the super bowl is gonna be one of these 4 matchups: Packers vs. Steelers Packers vs. Jets Bears vs. Steelers Bears vs. Jets I'd prefer the 4th one.
  14. maybe he's sick of you being a big [expletive] I wish I knew the word that was censored. He hates me due to my lions bashing. Lots of people bash other teams on here but he's the only one that seems to take it personal.
  15. Guess I'm just sick of you being the grumpiest poster in nsbb.
  16. Don't you have OTAs to worry about?
  17. I thought it was the most ridiculous thing ever and thought something was wrong, but I guess I believed it.
  18. Holy fing [expletive] are you kidding me? At home? Neither game in the season was decided by more than 7. That's the most unbelievable line I've ever seen. Expect that to plummet towards the bears during the week. I'll bet my life savings.
  19. Again, that's fine by me. Let them think we are worse than we are. Let they disrespect us all week.
  20. Bill Simmons is PISSED that Carroll didn't go for 2 there, and is praying the Hawks recover the onside kick.
  21. It still hasn't hit me that the Chicago Bears are going to play the Green Bay Packers for the NFC Title at Soldier Field in 7 days. This is one of those epic matchups that happen maybe once or twice in your lifetime. A Cubs/Cardinals NLCS, a Hawks/Red Wings ECF (ok that happened but seems to happen a lot in hockey), a Michigan/Ohio State NC game, etc. Bears fan or Packers fan, regardless of the game's outcome next week, please treasure the experience that this week is going to bring us. There is pretty much going to be a Super Bowl style hooplah this week. [expletive] stop giving up touchdowns guys...geez. I feel the national respect dropping by the second.
  22. It was all garbage time. If it was a closer game, a Bear probably jumps on that fumble. If it was a closer game, Forte isnt throwing passes down the field. If it was a closer game the Bears don't play nearly prevent on that last drive.
  23. NSBB's NFL Conference Championship Thread :) But seriously, I usually just read SB Nation Blogs and read the comments for the most part. Too many forums require you to register or pay money to read. You consume more team specific media than anyone I know Gotta do something while I'm waiting in line for Jersey Boys.
  24. THAT SUCKS 35-10 is much sexier than 35-17. Some will remember my original prediction was 31-17.
