  1. Wow...did not expect to see that Greinke Gallardo Marcum Wolf ? Not bad Guess they aren't trading Fielder this offseason.
  2. I don't think so. It's not on the Superstation. I'm getting the Clipper broadcast here in the LA area. Yeah I checked all the usual channels. Looks like one of those WCIU local-only deals. *sigh* Theres a working link on atdhe.net. I'm watching that now.
  3. Yeah I wouldn't feel great about our chances in the last 2 games if we couldn't manage to win this one with so much at stake.
  4. As the resident Vikings fan, if you had to put an honest percentage chance on the Vikings winning this game, what would you guess? 30%? 40%? More? Less? Just curious. I won't let me self feel very comfortable at all about this game. In my pessimistic mind, Peterson is going to pretend it's his rookie year at Soldier Field again, and Webb is going to be Michael Vick.
  5. Well why am I turning down trades hoping for the 9th pick of the draft 5 years from now? You aren't. If the Bulls were doing everything possible to avoid trading that pick, its because of the small chance that they can get a top 5 pick 6 years from now. Otherwise, who the hell cares about the 15th pick 3 years from now or whatever.
  6. Yankees fans are bewildered that they havent been able to just buy anyone they want this winter. One of the more enjoyable subplots of the offseason so far.
  7. The probability of that pick meaning something is so so tiny, that its value is much better to other teams in a trade than it is to us. If you look at the last 5 years, the only teams to not make the playoffs over that time are the Knicks and TWolves. The Knicks will probably make it this year, which would be the "unprotected" year for the pick. So you are hoping Charlotte is the Twolves. But not only that you have to hope that they arent a borderline playoff team in any of those years. Then you have to hope that they dont improve enough to be decent with 5 straight high lottery picks. The odds are just so low. If someone is asking for that pick as a necessity for a player that would help us long term, I wouldnt hesitate to throw it in.
  8. Dammit it makes me sad to see Gortat and JRich possibly switching teams in the same trade. Both would be AMAZING pickups for us. I've pined for JRIch all season and was hoping we could pry him away from Phx as the season went along. If he goes to Orlando hes not going anywhere. Richardson would be the perfect SG to compliment Rose IMO. Gortat would also be an awesome pickup to help ease the loss of Noah. Since he'd be going to hopeless looking phoenix in the trade maybe we can get him at some point.
  9. His back has given him a ton of trouble and I think he missed the first month of 2010 with a shoulder issue.
  10. You better have been eating Red Ivy instead Among others. I [expletive] love Red Ivy. It's worth the outrageous prices. I'll make it a point to head over to D'Agostino's sometime soon.
  11. I've lived within 2 blocks of D'Agostino's for the last 4 years and have never eaten there. What is wrong with me?
  12. Going back to my previous response, any kind of Webb signing seems like it hinges on moving Fukudome first. If I'm wrong, then by all means, sign Webb right now. If it means weakening the offense, then it might be better to wait it out. They cant just side Webb now, as it seems like there are 3 teams with similar options for him to choose between. Maybe you mean, just pay him more to get him to sign here and get over it. But I don't think the Cubs are willing to pay more than whatever they are offering for the risk of Webb.
  13. You arent surprised he was booed? I am. I know he was a Red Wing for several years, but from what I've read, he never really wanted to get traded there, and despite the way he left town, he's always had nice things to say about the Hawks org. Besides when he was in Detroit the Hawks were barely in the NHL, so its not like there were several physical playoff series to built some legitimate hate towards him. I'll always love Chelios despite the Wings affiliation. Also, way to show up tonight Hawks! I mean it!
  14. I wonder if he thought Grabow wasn't on the team anymore, or if he was just taking it from him. Haha good stuff. Being a Cubs fan sucks. Having a player like Kerry represent us make me feel better about it.
  15. I'm pretty sure I see Webb as either ace or 2 starter quality or broken down and a waste of money. I find it hard to see a scenario where he settles into a 4th starter spot and pitches like one. 2007 Webb wouldn't be a 4th starter on the Phillies.
  16. Was going through some old posts.....I felt like I had to post this because I've always wanted to quote a Yanr post. It's been several years since I've had the privledge. I would like to suggest that Tim unban Yanr quietly and see if he figures it out. I have this feeling that every 6 months or so Yanr comes onto NSBB and tries to log in to see if he's unbanned.
  17. lol Simmons picked the Bears straight up last week too, and has in the past consistently picked against the Bears in games they won. I'm scared
  18. Can someone ban me for an hour for attempting to defend the first of benchwarm's skits? I...should have known better....
  19. The Sex Cannon is unleashed!
  20. Would you give them back their 1st round pick in a trade for jackson?
  21. I've read stuff about how much difficulty he has had adjusting to NBA style ball mostly on offense. That said I've liked what I've seen out of him. I don't think he'll ever be starter quality but he has the talent to be a nice role player that can give you 20-25 solid minutes a night. It's not ideal to give him that now though. And it's almost impossible for him to get that many minutes because as of now he's a fouling machine. For now I think he will show flashes of solid play.
  22. I want to slap anyone on realgm that suggests that. Wallace is the exact opposite of the player he'd be replacing. He's old and treats the regular season like Rec league ball at the Y. No fing way.
  23. As much as I rip on Hendry, I'll give credit where credit is due. Nice job Jim.
  24. lol. I am not sure why people are ripping on this post. It does look odd considering what he signed for but I've often thought that is how Hendry does his negotiating with relievers. Funny stuff
  25. Well ESPN's "experts" unanimously pick the Bears to win the division, having all picked Bears over Vikings and Pats over Packers. I think I'm gonna have a hard time finding an expert picking anything but that result. Edit: Nevermind. Peter King picks the Vikings to win 13-10
