  1. Especially 2 seasons after having the 9-7 Cardinals hosting the NFC Championship against the 9-6-1 Eagles.
  2. And yet they have the 7th best adjusted DVOA for the year. And their playing in the comforts of home. Ask Seattle how much that means.
  3. I finally got around to reading the Simmons article, and found his reasoning for picking Seattle to be illogical. Thought I'd break it down piece by piece. " Because he's at home, he's playing a 7-9 team that rarely plays well on the road, he's a pretty good QB, and the Bears offense has averaged 26 points a game for their last 7 meaningful games they've played. But has led the team to a 6-3 record in that span Fine our offensive line was mediocre, and Cutler throws a few more INTs than you'd like him to. Valid point but you had no issue picking a QB with 8 more INTs this year in last week's game against the same team. Obviously he has more of a SB history but still. And the AL Cy Young winner this year went 13-12, and played for a 90 loss team. What's your point? This is valid. I am slightly worried he does something like this. But even so, against the defense he's facing, they might be able to succeed despite this. What does how he responds to the media have anything to do with his ability to be a leader? From all accounts, he is the leader of the offense, and his work ethic and attitude around the team is a great example for other players. Also, this was mostly a poorly received article that has been ripped apart but his colleagues since the article was posted.
  4. Dude I was just kidding. Everyone knows I have my issues with being overly negative, so I would be the last person legitimately calling you out for anything.
  5. Geez this is our chief rival for the central division?
  6. Bulls winning by 12 at halftime. Dexter is nowhere to be seen.
  7. I thought it was hilarious. Not as much what was said but how Deion made no effort to suppress his reaction.
  8. lol...if the Bears are bad, what's the make the seahawks? Make sure to listen on Monday after the hawks loss and give us an update on the mood. Im gonna have to. Especially if it's like 45-7 or something lol. The one guy predicted 17-10 Seahawks 17-10 cutler throws 3 ints and the bears have 4 turnovers or something. They also said Jurko was on their show earlier in the week and completely dissed the Seahawks. He said stuff like "why would I be worried about the Seahawks? You've seen them all year." and after they asked him what he expected to see this weekend, "honestly I'm just anxious to see if the packers are coming to town next week. I'm hoping we don't have to go to Atlanta."
  9. Ahhh I guess these people are the Boers and Bernstein of Seattle. There are tons of Bears fans calling into make points to defend the Bears and they are just hanging up on them then calling them idiots because they don't share their view point. Their biggest gripe is a sun-times article today basically calling out every Seattle player and talking about how each is a has been or a reject. But I mean if Seattle was the 2 seed and was playing a 7-9 Team in the 2nd round of the playoffs they would be saying the same crap. You are a 7-9 joke of football who thinks they are entitled to have respect.
  10. Wow I'm listening to Seattle sports radio...they don't have a lot of respect for the Bears. They are saying how dare their garbage team think they can so confidently predict a Bears victory. "The Bears don't scare anyone. A lousy team that have irked their way into a 2 seed. Congratu fricken lations". The Chicago media is downplaying the Seahawks and pumping up the bears because they are insecure about how bad their team is. I put this on 5 mins ago and I've never heard such hatred of a football team and a city in my life. If anyone has streaming radio put on espn Seattle.
  11. Simmons picked against the Bears. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmonsnfl2010/playoffs/round2&sportCat=nfl Basically he doesn't trust Cutler, and is buying into the Seahawks "rah rah" stuff. And then if t win by 30 he'll take them in the NFC Championship game. Moran
  12. Last week, Eric Allen was the only "expert" on ESPN.com to pick the Seahawks over the Saints. This week he's the only one on the site to pick Seattle over the Bears.
  13. UMFan is following Jersey Boys on its nation wide tour. I did a search for my user name the other day because I'm just like that and like 75% of the uses of my name over the last 3-4 were you making that same joke. You've gotten a lot of mileage out of that one ;)
  14. Not unless we find someone who can take Deng.
  15. I think its cool to have a moody QB that doesn't give a crap what people think of him. I've always hated pretty boy all-everything QBs. Cutler seems more relatable in a way.
  16. Rivers is just as big a douche as Cutler is.
  17. Nice. Be loud. 4th Phase > 12th man
  18. I keep wanting to read about and discuss this game but then when I pull up some articles, I can't read them. I just get a headache because I've been reading too much about it and just want it to be Sunday. The storylines are all set and have been discussed ad nauseum all week. Heck, I am going to Florida tomorrow and I'm thing I'm most looking forward to then is watching the game inside at the condo we're staying at.
  19. What gameplan have they seen before? The Bears? The Bears gameplan is like night and day from their gameplan in week 6. In week 6 it was all 7 step drops and passes downfield, no checkdowns and no running game. Now its short passes, 3 step drops, balanced running attack. They couldnt be more different. If you are talking about defensively, of course they will be the same. The Bears have been running the same defense for 6 years now with slight adjustments each game. By my count Hasselbeck has seen the same Bears defensive game plan 5 times since 2006. Nothing new there, but its effective when the pieces are there. Hope is a dangerous thing. There's no doubt the Seahawks can win, but after beating the Saints, its like most fans and the media immediately changed their perception of the team as a whole based on one game (they didnt look particularly good in that Rams game). They forget all the things the Hawks did badly, and try to find reasons why its different than it was 2 week ago. Come Sunday we will find out if those reasons are legit, or if its just false hope from one game.
  20. I don't know I think the lessened demand has everything to do with the former reasoning (waiting for Packers NFC champ game) than the latter. New experience or not, its a Bears playoff game. Anytime they are good and have a shot at the Super Bowl, people go bonkers. People don't want to admit it but deep down they think the Bears will roll over the Seahawks and want to try to buy potential Packers tickets instead of Seahawks tickets. That and the weather forecast and the growing trend of people thinking their home theater experience is as good as the game experience are a couple of the reasons the demand is down.
  21. lol Ben Eager for John Scott straight up.
  22. I read in the Red Eye today that the demand for Bulls/Heat on Saturday night has now exceeded demand for Bears/Seahawks.
  23. PS its awesome to see Anaheim a point above us in the standings and actually revel in the fact that WE have one game in hand on THEM. :) In terms of projected standings based on PPG, this is what we'd have Vancouver 121 Detroit 113 Dallas 106 Nashville 102 Phoenix 97 Chicago 93 Colorado 93 Anaheim 93 --------------- Los Angeles 92 Minnesota 90 St. Louis 90 San Jose 88 Columbus 82 Calgary 78 Edmonton 66 (4 of them received in Chicago :( )
  24. That's awesome. Meanwhile, for the season Niemi is 9-13-2 with a .907 save percentage and a 2.85 GAA. It looks like all that minor league seasoning helped Crawford prepare for this opportunity. Meanwhile Turco is playing the Huet role perfectly at 9-10-2 with a .899 save percentage and 3.02 GAA.
