  1. Gonna be a fun team to watch. I always cheer for them to do well. I would love for them to take some of the LA luster from the Lakers. I know they've been quite poorly run over the years but it definitely confuses me why only just recently have they been a viable place for FAs to go to. They play in LA, they play at Staples, and there is a lot less pressure to be the next Magic/Kobe/Kareem.
  2. I think its just as much if not more the Russian dude. Who doesn't want to be involved with a high rolling Russian billionaire who promises to stop at nothing to dominate the NBA. There's at least one team you don't have to worry about whether they will go over the luxury tax. I guarantee you that the Nets will be at least 110% over the threshold at some point over the next 5 years. I make a similar promise that the Bulls will not be one dime over that level over the same span.
  3. If that happens, I am going to build and or create a church of Tebow and pray there every day.
  4. I was gonna say. No thugs but a bunch of careless drunken idiots driving around town in a stupor.
  5. Lol you act like you were the only one ripping the signing. I don't remember anyone actually defended it.
  6. Chicago is seen as a very attractive city for baseball. There are 2 reasons I believe why Chicago is a step below NYC, LA, Miami, etc. the first is the weather. If you are getting offered a similar amount and can play for a 55 win bulls team or a 47 win Miami team (hypothetical) I can see why a lot of young rich people would rather live in Miami. The other reason that I hear is that Chicago isn't located on the coasts. Although there are plenty of opportunities for marketing yourself in Chicago that you wouldn't get in probably 25 other NBA markets, people seem to believe that NYC and LA gives them much more exposure and many more opportunities outside of basketball. I think people see Chicago as a big city but as a step below NY and LA.
  7. I benched Jones for Morris this morning, you are the worst. I would've lost anyway though, I just needed to vent after outscoring my league by 10 points per week and now I'm playing for my entry fee. I know how that feels. I'm known as the Buffalo Bills in my league. Dominate during TE regular season and then my team always inexplicably sucks big time in my first playoff game. Happened this year as well. 11-2 (next best team was 8-5) and les the league in points by over 100 points. Then this week my entire team decides to drop passes, throw INTs, give up points on defense etc.
  8. Lol one of the guys in my fantasy league was literally tied (with fractional points) in his playoff matchup and had the Dallas kicker while his opponent had the Giants D. The only way he could have lost on that play was if the Giants blocked the kick. Makes me laugh.
  9. On a scale of 1-10, my sports day was at a 1 given the Bears game and losing my playoff fantasy matchup, but now its a 3.
  10. It was Clowe, not Hoss. Dude threw punches at three different Hawks. We should get a PP out of this. No I know he didn't instigate it. I'm just saying when he punched Hossa, he exploded for a few seconds (as he should have).
  11. HAWKS WIN!!!! PAPA SHARPIE GETS ONE FOR HIS KID
  12. Alright, at least a point. Cant be going pointless in home games. Wow Hossa just lost it there (not the game, his composure).
  13. Malone pulls a Barber there. Thanks for the free offensive zone faceoff.
  14. Tebow is not a Sharks fan. They are anti-Christian creatures.
  15. NIEMI SAYS OK JUST THIS ONE FOR OLD TIMES SAKE
  16. Wonder if Emery is the starting goalie now. He's started 3 of the last 4 games, and the one game he didnt start he played 43 minutes. Maybe just giving Crawford a chance to clear his head.
  17. Niemi says no :(
  18. Very, very likely. Even more annoying is that we should be 9-4 and in the drivers seat in the wild card even without Cutler. We honestly should have won that Chiefs game as well. All it takes is a 35 yard FG made by Gould, a Roy Williams catch (or at least not a Roy Williams deflection right to a Chiefs player), and Marion Barber not running out of bounds when that was the only thing he was asked not to do. Horrible horrible luck. It's just so weird that everything was going our way until the end of the Chargers game. People were saying we were the 3rd best team in the NFC and a dark horse to go to the super bowl. The offense was starting to roll and the line was actually blocking decently. The swagger was there, the defense was good enough, and Hester was again dangerous returning kicks. The all the sudden it was like a switch was hit and we all the sudden had probably the unluckiest 3 week stretch that I have probably ever witnessed from a professional sports franchise. I think even Lions and Packers fans would agree that we have been completely snakebitten the last 3 weeks.
  19. Random Twitter meatball: Dude (or Bitch) Marion Barber had 2 relatively simple hard to [expletive] up things to do to basically seal a Bears victory. The first time, he simply had to hang onto the ball and not run 15 yards straight towards the big white sideline thing. A 15 yard loss would have been acceptable on that play as long as he didn't fumble and he didn't run out of bounds. He could have taken the hand off, turn around, run to the 1 yard line and kneel down and it probably would have been ok. But he ran towards the sideline and tried to get extra yards and forgot the situation we were in before....running out of bounds. The second time, the Bears were looking at a 57 yard FG during a game where the kickers have already gone 2 for 2 at FGs over 57 yards and a stadium where the ball is known for traveling longer distances because of the thin air. You get a chance at a handoff. Sure a couple of yards would be beneficial to make it a much easier kick, but the most important thing is to hand on to the ball. And what happens, he tries to fight for extra yards, takes his 2nd half off of the ball and fumbles. The painful thing is that he could have taken it to the house or at least gotten an extra 20 yards to make it a chip shot FG. But yeah, Caleb Hanie was more at fault. (Not to say that Hanie was good because he was terrible and the 2nd biggest goat of the game but despite all that we were in the situation to win before we got Barber'd.
  20. This is part of the reason why everyone hates Tebow. The Bears just lost a soul crushing game that basically ended our season, and all everyone wants to talk about is why people hate Tim Tebow.
  21. Not really, unless they come back next week. They still won't make the playoffs, but the fans would crucify Angelo if they knew Cutler and Forte could play and aren't. I am picking the Seahawks next week and not looking back.
  22. Regardless of whether you think he was great or not, the point is that he was about a 1000 times better in the 4th quarter than the first 3 quarters. The defense definitely backed off and that helped, but he was throwing balls all over the place except at the receiver in the first 3 quarters and then in the 4th quarter they were darts right to them. He wasn't good in the 4th quarter until the Bears went into prevent the last 2 drives. What? The first drive in the 4th, they ran 3 times and punted, but the next time he led the team down into FG range and on 2nd down he got sacked and lost a fumble. Maybe that's his fault whatever but he was obviously getting going at that point. Tebow was 12-14 at one point in the quarter. He was already turning it on before those last 2 drives.
  23. So.. I was going to go to church tonight but then I realized that I have no idea which church I should go to in order to worship Tebow. I know He's Catholic, but Jesus in His first incarnation was Jewish, so I don't know if I should just keep attending Catholic church or pray silently to myself while I wait for a Church of Tebow to open up in Chicago. Thoughts?
