  1. Preds and Wings both won tonight. Gotta find a way to beat Nashville, who has given us problems this year.
  2. So the Broncos just signed Hanie to a 2 year deal to back up Peyton. Could possibly be third string but still, what could they have seen from last year to make them want to sign him?
  3. Would be the 2nd time the Bulls hit 50 win since MJ. Of course this one would be done in 66 games.
  4. love how Florida managed to shoot two different 4 point shots on their last possession according to Kevin Harlan. Wow Florida really choked this away. It's been a tournament of chokers
  5. Wow, get the ball back down 1 with 17 seconds left only to immediately travel.
  6. I liked it. I was hoping to one day point out that sign to my grandkids.
  7. random story: My GF, who is a fairweather kansas fan because her friend is very passionate about them, was at the bar with her friend watching the game last night. My gf was given a Kansas jersey to wear and was at the bar getting drinks when a group of like 4 Missouri fans surrounded her and started yelling "M-I-Z-Z-O-U!" in her face. She had no idea what the hell was going on, and it was obvious but these douches wouldnt stop taunting her. She later saw them doing the same thing to another group of Kansas fans later that night. I just found that odd given the embarrassing loss last week. It would be like me going to an OSU bar tonight and chanting "GO BLUE" in the face of girls wearing Buckeye gear. Fake edit: No they weren't trying to sleep with her, no she didn't sleep with them and no i wasnt banging the cubs chick while this was going on.
  8. According to this article, the Eamus Catuli sign remains but not the part where they track our futility. http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2012-03-23/sports/ct-talk-eamus-catuli-sign-0323-20120323_1_ricketts-family-president-theo-epstein-lakeview-baseball-club Yeah its a slow news day.
  9. Garza must be 501 then
  10. Not much you can do there with 3 seconds left, but throwing it 75% of the way down the court near 3 Kansas players is not what I'd do. Also catching the ball and immediately shooting despite having enough time to get your feet set, or at least pass to the open dude next to you is pretty dumb.
  11. How to [expletive] Up Horribly in the Last Minute of a NCAA Tournament Game by NC State Wolfpack. 2 terrible shots in one possession, couldnt come up with a rebound on an opponents missed FT, terrible play run out of a timeout that involved throwing a cross court pass over 3 defenders for some reason. And yet they still have a very slight chance
  12. I still think that Butler shot in the National Title game would have been one of the top 20 most memorable sports moments ever if it had gone in.
  13. Wow I thought that was going in for a second. That would have been amazing.
  14. That sucks. Guy gets knocked in the head, takes his time getting back up the court leading to the defense being out of position and giving up a wide open 3. Not what you want to happen nursing a 1 point lead with under a minute left.
  15. Take for example the win over Michigan State this year. Illini fans sure enjoyed it despite setting basketball back 50 years.
  16. that tweet was fake. tons and tons of more coming in God dammit I refuse to believe this until it happens. ok, i'm not so sure, now. i'm just going to stop making claims. welcome to the world of following sports rumors on twitter
  17. Well yeah, of course. Where were you when IT happened? I could have been anywhere, doing anything, I don't remember. I blacked out from anger. I very likely threw a tantrum on NSBB, because that's just what I do.
  18. We're down to 251. 3 Cubs and 2 former Cubs in this batch, Kerry Wood (282), Alfonso Soriano (296), and Marlon Byrd (297). A bit high for Soriano. I assumed if he wasnt in the 350-500 range he didnt make the list. But I'm a Sori hater so... Former Cubs Carlos Zambrano (259) and Kyle Fansworth (280) make the list as well.
  19. Sadly, that's not the first thing I remember about his year with the Bears. I wonder if this changes Forte's thinking at all, if he thinks the Bears knew about this when they signed Bush. Probably not because everyone speculated that Barber was gonna get cut anyways, but who knows.
  20. They loving signing away our special teams guys (Ayanbadejo)
  21. Are all Purdue fans as cocky about their team based on wins from literally 70 years ago, or is it just the ones on this board? Indiana is 73-59 against Purdue since 1940 It's like arguing the Cubs have the upper hand in the Cubs Cardinals rivalry because they lead the all time series due to a bunch of wins they had when they were actually good between 1900-1945.
  22. i like that. did you come up with it yourself? No I couldnt remember if you were bears or cubs (i think you were bears in that ill fated football forum) and in my haste didnt feel the need to look up to the top of the post i was replying to.
  23. He had his best statistical season last year (or at least did until the injury), and many people were finally noticing how valuable he is. In terms of pure performance, he has never been as desirable as he is right now. The injury he had is not expected to slow him or his career down from everything I've read, and wanting out has little to nothing to do with his value. The Bears can keep him if they really want to duke it out over signing the franchise tag, and they can franchise him again next year if they really want to. True Forte can force the Bears to do something by sitting out a season, but even after today's outburst, the situation is still rectifiable if they want it to be. so give me a [expletive] break minnesotawhatever
  24. Edited the OP to reflect 301-350. 3 Cubs were in this batch of 50, David Dejesus (308), Anthony Rizzo (346) and Paul Maholm (347). The immortal Angel Pagan (324) was the only former Cub in this batch.
