I'd say Burke made up for missing the front end of a 1 and 1 with 90 seconds left. 15-0 at home. Damn. Too bad 3 of the last 4 are on the road, but whatever, its against NW, Illinois and Penn State.

Rush back? He could have played today based on his quotes before the game. Thibs went from being the most aggressive coach in terms of players playing through injuries to one of the most conservative in the blink of an eye. What happened? Does anyone remember why Paxson and Del Negro had a physical confrontation? Because VDN played Noah more minutes than the limit that Pax had set for him coming back from an injury. He obviously takes the extremely cautious route when it comes to injuries. I really believe that GarPax had a chat with him and told him that to treat the franchise carefully. So now Thibs is being overcautious with Rose. Maybe they even had a fist fight.

this is exactly what people talk about when they say that the players have given up. There's no arguing that at this point. At this point I just hope they let him coach the next 2 games. They're at OSU then Iowa at home. At this point you would expect them to get destroyed at OSU. Iowa might have a shot at their first win in Champaign in like 30 years. Nah, keep him on board until after the Michigan game please.

1, but he also wasn't usually the smallest guy on the court and able to be neutralized by a bigger, better athlete during crunch time. Right. You can't win a championship with a stud point guard and a bunch of role players. The only way we get pass the Heat is Lebron doesn't play and Wade plays like crap. Or our role players play out of their minds. C'mon guys you all know this. Rose doesn't even come close to match up with Lebron or Wade. All we need is health and a little bit of luck. No one even really knows how good the Bulls will be with a healthy roster because they've only played 5 games with it. I say a little bit of luck because the Heat would be favored in the series, maybe 55-45%, so if we get a little luck we turn the tables in our favor. But by no means is it impossible.

I mean the Bulls played bad but the Nets, who are 28th in the NBA in FG% were unrealistically hot, especially from 3. I think they were like 9-16 from 3. Also Deron Williams is raping the Bulls with 21 points and 7 assists with 5 three pointers. Normally we'd have Derrick out there motivated to embarrass another rival PG but he's stuck with the longest case of back spasms in NBA history.

So this would make the road trip 2-6-1. Fairly disastrous but obviously a good end. Still not sure what to think overall.

DePaul is quite annoying. Here is the halftime score in their last several games: DePaul 34 Notre Dame 34 Result: Loss by 8 DePaul 43 Marquette 40 Result: Loss by 13 DePaul 38 Cincinnati 36 Result: Loss by 8 DePaul 31 St. Johns 30 Result: Loss by 16 DePaul 24 Rutgers 29 Result: Win by 5 Of course they are up 42-32 at halftime against Louisville right now...any doubt that they lose?

Latest Bracketology has Michigan as a 3 seed, Illinois 3rd to last team in, playing in Dayton and Minnesota and Northwestern the 2nd and 3rd teams out respectively. Also, the Bracket Matrix is getting a long awaited update tomorrow, so that should be interesting.

Use to indulge heavily in high school, now I never touch the stuff out of personal preference, but throughout I have carried my belief that it should be legalized. Its really good to see the progress they've made for marijuana reform over the past decade or so, and I hold the belief it will be legalized to some extent across the country in my lifetime. I would like it completely legalized and regulated, but I guess I would be ok with decriminalizing it so its just a fine for small amounts. Just seems like a waste of time to go after harmless pot smokers.

Theres a crapload of people around Wrigley tonight, and the lights are all on, and they are bringing lots of stuff inside the park. I thought maybe they were installing the LCD tonight, but they are actually filming a commercial I guess. I know, cool story.
