[expletive], I thought when we got Marshall we'd have less batted in the air INTs. It's like I'm watching the Michigan game again with turnovers in scoring range
Enough with the presnap penalties. JWebb sucks...did anyone else see he was tweeting pictures of chicken macaroni and hot dogs less than an hour before the game started?
I think for the fourth year in a row, this game has proven that these two teams are equally mediocre and frustrating. Michigan was a lot less than mediocre those first 2 season. I'm ok with a mediocre season if it turns out that way, I guess. Way too much to look forward to in the coming seasons to be down on UM football.
You do realize we have 6 games left against the other 2 terrible teams in the NL right? Win 4 of those, and we don't even have to worry about tomorrow or the Diamondbacks series. Oh yeah and we still have 3 outs to score at least one run today. I'm just not expecting much out of the road trip Sweep the Astros next weekend and we only need to win 1 out of 6 games on the road trip.

I feel like every time I look DeJesus is getting a big hit or having a good game at the plate but he's only hitting .266 with an OPS in the .750s and I think a 1.2 WAR. Not that those numbers are terrible but it feels like his numbers should be better than that.
Anthony Rizzo's last 20 games: .333/.393/.593/.986, 6 2B, 5 HR, 17 RBI, 6 BB, 12 K in 93 PA Really nice to see him pick it back up after a pretty poor August. Him and Castro have been raking this month.
Yep. Though it's also a bit annoying with fantasy football. I'm so lucky. I wasn't paying attention this week and about 10 minutes before last nights game started, I checked and realized that Nicks and Bradshaw were both out (and both in my starting lineup). So I replaced Bradshaw with Brown (waiver pickup earlier in the week) and upon scouring the FA pool for a last minute WR, I saw Ramses Barden and said 'what the hell, Giants are down 2 WR maybe I'll get lucky'. Earned myself 46 points by remembering to check my lineup.
I did not realize that this is Carpenter's first appearance all year. Seems like he's always coming back from injuries against the Cubs. Maybe he'll be rusty and we can eek out a W despite Volstad pitching.
Was he even in the MILB Names Bracket? Answering my own question: he wasn't ugh...to their credit there are a crap load of awesome names in that bracket http://www.milb.com/milb/fans/moniker_madness/y2012/index.jsp
They're just so irrelevant that I don't even think about them outside of when I'm waiting for talk radio to be done talking about them (sort of like with hockey). I'm not sure if you were living in the city in 2005, but it was awful. Even stupid things like 'Support your White Sox by wearing Sox gear to work on Friday' memos just pissed me off. Walking through downtown and seeing everyone and their mom wearing Sox gear and seeing signs and flags up everywhere. Having idiot Sox fans come up to me at the Cubby Bear of all places and making fun of me for wearing a Cubs hat during a Sox World Series game. Watching Sox fans decide to celebrate their world championship by gathering right in front of Wrigley Field and chanting 'CUBS SUCK' and '1908!'. My friend was at a bar in Wrigleyville the night the Sox won it wearing a Cubs hat, and on his way back to Rogers Park some drunk idiot Sox fan approached him while waiting for the Red Line and got in his face and yelled "HAHAHA CUBS SUCK!! GO WHITE SOX!!!". When my friend responded by saying 'go [expletive] yourself', the Sox fan jumped him and started pounding on him right there on the platform. So yeah, I'd prefer to avoid all that [expletive] again.
