  1. Should we be worried about cutlers lifetime concussion total. He had a couple in Vandy and one in Denver too right?
  2. What a completely disastrous night so far.
  3. Oh. It's one of those games for Cutler then.
  4. Between this and the Jennings down by contact play, we are getting the short end of the stick. At worst you can say both of those plays could have gone either way and they both went against us and both those plays would have completely changed the game.
  5. Urlacher looks absolutely terrible out there. I've counted 5 plays tonight where he's looked bad.
  6. Urlacher is blah tonight
  7. Why is Urlacher coming up to Manning an shaking his hand after he intercepts a pass against his team?
  8. Was that not down by contact immediately following the INT.
  9. So now they can push our guys over 3 seconds after the play and it not a penalty?
  10. quick, everyone have a quality discussion until kyle sees this thread and pounces on it.
  11. So..uhhh..go bears

    NFL Week 10

Agreed, my brother in law is a Lions fan and he's gotten a little too smug about them the last couple of years Smug? Bizarre....they are now 21-20 over the last 3 years, 0-1 in the playoffs, 0 division titles, 5-10 against the division over the last 3 years (1-4 vs. CHI, 3-3 vs. MIN, 1-3 vs. GB). Oh and the team consists of a bunch of morons that are constantly getting arrested and/or penalized for cheap/late hits. You've gotta be pretty stupid if you can get smug over that. Edit: Yes this is a "sneakypower come bitch at me" bat signal.
  13. Obviously he has some appeal to his writing since he's one of the most popular sportswriters in America. Doesn't matter if he's a good writer if the stuff he writes is entertaining.
  14. Compared to who? Their perception where they've occupied 5 spots in the top 10 all season and already have a bye to the Championship? I was going to make a comment about this earlier. Take a team like South Carolina. They are #8 despite being blown out by 33 points to florida, losing to LSU as well. They did blowout Georgia, which was impressive, but outside of that win, they havent beaten anyone. Look at the rest of their wins.. Vandy (5-4), ECU (6-4), UAB (3-7), Missouri (5-5), Kentucky (1-9), Tennessee (4-6), Arkansas (4-6). You'd think that a team playing in the SEC with all these top 5 teams would have at least 2-3 wins over ranked teams if they are #8 in the country. Georgia is similar to South Carolina. They beat a good team (Florida) and got blown out by 28 points for their only loss to South Carolina. Other than that, their wins are over Buffalo (3-7), Missouri (5-5), Florida Atlantic (3-7), Vandy (5-4), Tennessee (4-6), Kentucky (1-9), Mississippi (5-4) and are on their way to beating Auburn (2-8). Their last 2 games are somehow against Georgia Southern (1-AA) and Georgia Tech (5-5) then the SEC title game most likely. How do you get through the supposedly impossible SEC with 1 win over a ranked team until the championship game? Yet LSU and South Carolina are 2 loss teams in the top 10. Immediately after them are an undefeated team (going into the week) and 3 one loss teams from BCS conferences (Florida State, Oregon State and Clemson). I don't necessarily think the SEC is vastly overrated, but I'm starting to think it is overrated to some degree.
  15. Seems like every time I give up on a UM game they pull it out. What a fantastic finish. NW last lost some real heartbreakers this year. GO PSU! I'm guessing we will have a really good idea who is playing Wisconsin in the Big Ten title game in about 3 hours. Edit: I guess I should say I guess we'll have a good idea if Nebraska will be playing Wisconsin for the Big Ten title game. This is the last game I could see them losing, but even if they lose Michigan still of course has Ohio State (and Iowa who is crappy but usually annoying against UM)
  16. Wow I didnt expect that to happen. Now many seconds did we have left against ND last year when we went for the end zone after that long play? 8 seconds? I'm surprised Michigan didn't go for the end zone with 1 play, but I guess that might not trust Gardner to not throw an INT or get sacked.
  17. Ugh this is just a lost season for Michigan. You can't lose to NW at home. I just hope they can beat OSU again.
  18. wtf Michigan defense? Also I never knew Pat Fitzgerald was such a cheerleader on the sidelines. I always thought he was more of the stoic type. But here he is having an orgasm celebrating a roughing the passer penalty when his team is still trailing. (or was at the point)
  19. Being a cubs fan isn't hard enough so now the Internet has to get our hopes up several times a year with false reports. I know next to nothing about this dude but with the new CBA limiting the value of extra resources, a team like the Cubs should be going balls to the wall to get young talent that isn't affected by the new CBA. Sounds like the Cubs did go hard after him but once again it wasn't enough. Again he may not be worth it at all, I don't know. But if he had any decent shot of becoming a an above average starter I think it's worth overpaying in this new CBA world. The Dodgers payroll is probably double ours and they didn't have a problem with buying more talent (of course their resources seem to be double ours as well)
  20. Bill Simmons actually makes sense regarding the Bears: That's almost exactly how I feel. I feel very confident about the Bears right now, but at the same time I wonder 'should i really be this confident?' I see the team built on an absurdly abnormal amount of turnovers against mediocre to bad teams and I feel like I should be a little scared. At the same time, we throttled those teams, what a great team should do. So I am outwardly confident right now, but losing this game will definitely cause me and other Bears fans to look behind us and see the Packers 1 game behind with the 49ers come up. I'm not saying that even if we lose both of these games, I will give up on our chances to make the Super Bowl, but I'll be a whole lot more worried that's for sure. Also.....everyone points out that Green Bay apparently destroyed us in week 2. No we didn't play well, yes they played better, but I don't think it was the blowout people make it out to be....We were down 3-0 just before halftime when a fluke fake FG put us down 10-0. But even then, it was a 10 point game (13-3....really 6-3 without the fake FG) until midway through the 4th quarter when they kicked another FG to make it 16-3 (9-3) and then broke our backs with a TD after yet another Cutler TO. I dunno, obviously they dominated our offense, but it almost seemed like it was their scheme and plan against Marshall that killed us, not because they were all that more talented. Defensively I thought we were great, and held the offense to 16 points (and who knows how many were short fields because of Cutler INTs...dont feel like going back and remembering). Anyways, the Packers deserved to win, no doubt, but I'm not necessarily looking at the Packers like a team we can't beat.
  21. I wonder how different this offense would look if Johnny Knox was healthy this year. Then again, its possible the Bears don't pick Alshon if Knox doesn't get hurt, despite them being different types of receivers.
  22. Time to step up Earl.
  23. Huh, I thought she was indeed due Sunday. Wasn't that what brought the issue up in the first place? No. In his original response he mentioned Monday being the day, he was just hoping it doesn't come early for some reason. Probably because babies have a tendancy to come earlier than expected. Right, but if it's not due til later in the month, that should help the chances of it not happening till Monday immensely. Much ado about nothing essentially. Well yeah, I thought that was clear from the start (that the actual chances of her having the baby at a time that would cause Peanut to miss the game were very slim). But of course it's taken a life of its own and has been blown up.
