  1. I figured the Texans might be a slight favorite, but I guess the Bears come out on top with the home game bump.
  2. Amazing that the Bears can go 3-5 the rest of the year and still have a fantastic shot at the playoffs. If they go 4-4 the rest of the year, only 2 teams in NFL history havent made the playoffs with what their record would be. Sportsclubstats.com has the Bears playoff odds at 98.8% after today's win, which includes all the 4PM games except TB vs. Oak.
  3. Negative offensive DVOA might be "troubling" but the Bears havent finished with a positive offensive DVOA since 1995. I'm not sure you can compare DVOA numbers from year to year (isn't the number relative to the other teams in the league) but a -12.5 DVOA rating before todays game would be third best for the Bears since 2001 (only 2006 and 2008 were better). I'm guessing it will be a little bit higher after today, despite the good numbers coming against a poor defense.
  4. Yeah....I think it's going to be up to Tice to create a solid "we're getting blown up and cutler has no time to throw" game plan to turn to when we get blown up and cutler has no time to throw.
  5. This isnt actually all that strange but this is the first game in NFL history to end 51-20
  6. This team could have easily scored 60 today too considering the fumble turnover by Cutler late in the 1st when the Bears were at the 15 yard line or so, and then of course the 4th and goal inside the 10 on that last possession in the 4th when they decided to run out the clock instead of running up the score.
  7. taking a look at Cutler in his postgame PC, this mustache thing is going to provide even more unintentional comedy than I originally thought.

  9. I still see 4-2 in those 6 games. Split the next 2, beat Minny and Seattle at home, split the @Minny and GB stretch
  10. 96.47 Yes but he's still way too moody in those games to be successful.
  11. Fox seems to think we are a lock to blow our 31 point lead and lose this game as theyve already chalked up a loss for us in this one.
  12. Boo....51-12 looked a lot sexier than 51-20
  13. Maybe we can give Mike Tice another promotion.
  14. Wonderful clock management LSU This game was a lot more entertaining than last year's game (both of them)
  15. Meh...some nights we're just not going to be able to come up with enough offense to win. The last couple of years we could survive poor shooting nights but that's not always going to be the case this year. Also, due to the lack of depth compared to last year, its gonna be harder to win the 2nd of back to backs.
  16. Nevermind, the kicker choked. wow...what a game.
  17. Lesson here is never cheer for Sparty. Does Nebraska have anyone good left?
  18. Wow ND might lose their magical season on a fumble at the 1 foot line. Amazing.
  19. Dammit I wanted to talk about the Knicks.
  20. The person who constantly says borderline trolling things to rile up Bulls fans is.
  21. As much as I hate to admit it, N&G wins quite a few threads. When he perfectly straddles the line between critic and douchebag, he can be entertaining in threads like this.
  22. Or it was never a straight up deal to begin with and the Angels want more than we want to give up. I don't know about that. When they are asking players to waive their NTC's and one of the traded players (Marmol) is commenting on the trade, you have to think the particulars have been decided right? Marmol doesn't seem to care, but you risk a Lamar Odom by getting the players involved too early.
  23. Well that's quite embarrassing. Not pleased with Theo on this one...
  24. wow nice. It should be a fun 1/2 season with him in the rotation. Definitely surprised that this deal happened. And if its just Marmol thats amazing. On a related note, thank you Marmol for 7.....interesting years. From a wildly inconsistent starter forced into the rotation by a crapload of injuries to an elite dominating middle reliever to a wildly inconsistent closer...its been fun.
