  1. This offense doesn’t seem like it’s in any danger of breaking out of this extended slump. Something has to give, they might not be a super elite offense but they are a lot better than they’ve shown the last 5+ weeks
  2. Shota might be able to catch him in HR allowed if he misses a start or two, he’s only 3 HR behind.
  3. Tallion changing it up by allowing his hard contact to remain in the park (so far) (and still landing for hits and runs scored)
  4. I remember his first year it was a little rocky at first (IMO) and thought he was trying too hard to act passionate. Then I realized it wasn’t an act, that dude was enthusiastic as hell about the Bulls and he kept that enthusiasm whether they were 62-20 or 20-62.
  5. This makes me so sad. I would have actually watched a few Bulls games the last couple years if I knew his time was limited. I was really hoping he’d get the chance to call another good Bulls team. It won’t be the same without him.
  6. Honestly I'm not sure. I took that from a twitter post I saw online. It looks like a Fangraphs leaderboard (posted at 5pm yesterday), maybe there is some way to view it live?
  7. I know they lost but I was encouraged by the US performance today.
  8. Well our only good starter gave us 5.1 scoreless and we couldn’t score for him off a below average starter so now we get 4 more games of terrible SP.
  9. I’d have zero faith of the Cubs scoring in this situation but complete faith that the Giants will
  10. Why hitting with RISP is overrated: the Cubs have 2 hits with RISP today and didn’t score a run either time!
  11. At least PCA is proving why he deserved that extension
  12. Counsell pushing all the wrong buttons
  13. I'm too lazy to look for the best arbitrary starting points so I'll just say from the start of this 6-19 stretch, the opponents have outhomered the Cubs 48-21.
  14. Wild because Jed told us leadership was one of the big reasons they wanted Bregman so bad.
  15. Maybe...could be bunk. I know he's boys with Ian and probably has some locker room connections, but I'd obviously still take with a grain of salt.
  16. Dom seems somewhat connected, I don't think he would just make something completely up.
  17. Eh I don't think last night matters. If they had done something with it, you could argue it gave us positive momentum but turning around and playing like this destroys all momentum we might have gotten and puts us back in "we absolutely suck" mode.
  18. I want to see the Giants get to 30 today. Why not?
  19. Cubs are about to get rid of their entire +18 RD for the season today alone.
  20. Continuing that thought, maybe DFA of Taillon or Shota is an option since they're both in the final year of their contracts and likely don't offer any relief value.
  21. Jed's was a retool don't forget. A retool that lasted longer than Theo's gut rebuild and led to 1 playoff appearance and 4 playoff wins vs 5 playoff appearances, 19 playoff wins and a WS title.
  22. Since Boyd and his 6.00 ERA will be back imminently, one of these guys will likely be demoted from the starting rotation... Imanaga - 4.74 ERA Taillon - 5.13 ERA Rea - 5.49 ERA Cabrera - 4.99 ERA Brown - 1.92 ERA It's probably going to be Rea because he has more long relief experience right? What a disaster
