    Yes he's hurt. That's why he's pitching so bad. Somehow we just discovered it. Once he's healthy in like a week he will pitch great. Remember teams only 10 more days left to add a Jaxon to aid your playoff push!

    This is ridiculous and I think the Cubs (and a couple other teams to a lesser extent) are being targeted. Since Theo took over the MLB has: -Completely overhauled the way teams can approach the draft by putting spending limits with strict penalties for going over, directly contrasting with how Theo built the Red Sox -Completely overhauled the way teams can sign international FAs by also putting spending limits and strict penalties -Gave every team in the NL Central besides the Cubs a sandwhich pick every year in the draft -Limited contact between scouts and young international talent after the Cubs invested millions on a top of the line training academy in the DR The MLB is so concerned with parity and closing the revenue gap yet look at who is currently in a playoff spot...Kansas City, Baltimore, Oakland, Washington, Milwaukee

    I'm going to have the 3rd pick of the draft in a keeper league. QBs are really valuable due to weird scoring in their favor, so QBs get snatched up in like 9 of the first 12 picks...its really weird. Anyways, I am debating between 4 keepers..I pick 2....yes my team sucked last year. Aaron Rodgers as a 1st round pick, AJ Green as a 2nd, Frank Gore in the 5th and Zac Stacy in the 8th. I'm thinking Green and Stacy because I'll probably be able to take Rodgers or someone comperable anyways as a 1st round pick. Stacy is pretty solid as the starter right?

    I liked him and defended him until he started showing up on TV. you are right he is insufferable on TV. He turned into the type of talking head personalities he based for years like Kornheiser and Rick Reilly. I almost feel like ESPN told him to play that role on air. Anyways I still enjoy his columns and occasionally his podcasts. Also grantland overall is pretty good so I guess he should get some credit for that.

    This makes me wonder...does anyone remember what it was like in the pre-advanced stats era? Would someone have looked at Choo's numbers (.241, 12 HR, 39 RBI), compared it to last year's numbers (.285, 21 HR, 54 RBI) and said 'eh he's not hitting as well as last year but still not too bad', when in reality he has completely [expletive] the bed?
