Carwford has been horrible in the shootout lately. Wings get 4 points out of 4 from the Hawks this year. [expletive] shootouts
  2. UMFan83
Man this is a spanking. wings are still annoyingly good at puck possession
  3. UMFan83
Haha and of course right after I bitch again the Hawks tie it up
  4. UMFan83
Unbelievable. Absolutely terrible clearing attempt. Tried to get too pretty instead of clearing and instead it's a turnover and goal. 2 mins away from 0 points tonight. And as good as the Hawks played the first half of the game the Wings have dominated us in the 2nd half
  5. UMFan83
Yup. Might be one of those games we completely completely completely dominate and lose Seriously this has been a thorough butt whipping by the Hawks Edit: oops got it right back
  6. UMFan83
So is there a real chance that the Cubs would be forced to halt construction?
  7. UMFan83
The only 2 guys that I can think of that have been worse are Rosenbloom and Sean Salisbury (seriously do you remember how awful that show was?)
  8. UMFan83
Doesn't work like that in football. Yes I'm aware that you will argue that it doesn't work like that in baseball either.
  9. UMFan83
I definitely got the feeling that Rozner wanted the gig and was a finalist with the way they were talking him up and repeatedly calling him a professional immediately after the announcement was made.

Or sports fans who interact with them on the internet are unreasonably insane. Yeah, I can't even imagine what it's like to be on twitter as a Chicago sports media personality. Also, UMFan....moral, not morale. I thought that looked weird.

HAHA! I usually don't antagonize people on Twitter but as a dejected Bulls fan after striking out on LeBron and Wade, I mocked him for "reporting" that Wade to the Bulls was imminent. I think a lot of people mocked him and he blocked them all. Kaplan has me blocked, and I have no idea why. I didn't notice until recently. I'm sure I said something snarky to him about the Kap and Haugh ads....hehe Kaplan, Bernstein (which sucks because I actually like him), Holmes, and the Mully & Hanley show page (lol) have all blocked me. Morale of the story is that sports radio personalities are unreasonably sensitive

It's Goff That [expletive] still has me blocked on Twitter

Meatballs in Chicago rejoice! It definitely doesnt sound good for Cutler and Marshall.
  15. UMFan83
@LaurenceHolmes It's a good day for @670TheScore! Make sure you're listening at 1250. That means its either him or they brought one of his buddies (Goff?)
  16. UMFan83
Yeah not exactly a ringing endorsement for Cutler or Marshall I think I'm like 90% certain Marshall is gone.

TBH, there's really not a ton of attractive options. Would be awesome if it was Finfer though. Interesting to note that Finfer's Game host Alex Quigley retweeted Spiegel's tweet about today's announcement. Maybe either of those 2 would be an option.

Mully and Hanley are complete garbage, especially Mully. How that guy has one of the 4 most coveted radio shows in a top 3 market is absolute insanity. Worst show on radio, but they get pretty good ratings. Morning drive opposite Mike and Mike...anyone but Mike North would. It bugs me that we can't get a 3rd sports talk radio station to stick in Chicago... For example: -Dallas, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, NYC, LA, Philly, Memphis, Nashville, Washington and Detroit have 3 stations -Houston and Cleveland/Akron and Boston/NH have 4 stations Granted I'm sure at least 1 station in those cities only broadcasts national content 24/7, but that's still better than when the Score has a NIU game on and ESPN is replaying Cowherd or something.

Non-Cubs: -Indians win the AL Central -At least 1 of these teams makes the playoffs: Houston, Kansas City, Cincinnati, New York Mets -At least 1 of these teams does not make the playoffs: Detroit, St. Louis, LA Angels Cubs: -Either Bryant or Soler or both make the all star team -Baez is sent down to AAA at some point but comes back and finishes the year very strong -The bleachers aren't done until the end of May and the lost revenues are blamed for the Cubs not making a big deadline acquisition -Kyle Hendricks is the 2nd best starter

As long as hes not being paid a ton. He's likely better than Claussen as a backup

Anyone else having trouble getting on through northsidebaseball.com/forum? I am here through that 67.225.136.72 link, but if you go through the domain name it says the domain has expired. People on the emergencynsbb forum are having the same problem.

Apparently Gase was really close to being the 49ers Head Coach but they bungled it up by trying to force him to make Tomsula his Defensive Coordinator. Instead Gase turned them down, the 49ers hired Tomsula as coach, and Gase signed on to be the Bears OC. Good for us! Between the Bears and Michigan, the 49ers have been really kind to my football teams this offseason between Harbaugh, Fangio and Gase. http://deadspin.com/how-else-did-the-49ers-screw-up-their-coaching-search-1686060155

Man I remember waiting for him to come back from his concussion for a long time and I don't think he ever completely made it back. I'm scared that concussion had something to do with his death Sounds like he was battling depression. Which again might be caused by the concussion. Normally I wouldn't think so if its just one concussion, but the fact that he was out over a year and never actually made it back to the NHL afterwards (and he was only like 33) makes me think it was a particularly bad concussion that had lasting effects that never went away

Saw this on reddit. Not sure if it's an official rendering but I'm guessing it is:

That was one of the more entertaining SOs I've seen. 5 goals in 6 attempts, Kane with another sick goal, Crosby lucked into a goal, Toews found a tiny opening in the 5 hole. Good stuff. 2-0-2 to start the 8 game homestand.
