I saw him being pushed down from behind as the Vikings guy was running past Jones. that wasn't the call. Jones was bodying the guy with his hands straight up in the air. My bad. I stand corrected

I thought that was precisely why it wasn't given to the Vikings (because nobody had it when the whistle was blown) The ref said there wasn't a clear recovery so the play stood. Clear recovery seems like a subjective decision and the Vikings eventually fell on it so I think it's possible the refs could have given the ball to the Vikings.

    It's sad that the downfield pass has all but been removed from the Chicago offense despite a rocket armed QB and 2 tall athletic WRs

    The Bears went for it at first but once again they gave up on a questionable fumble/inc pass situation. A more generous official would have ruled that Vikings ball. It was called correctly though. Regardless, they gave up on another play.
