  1. Preview of PFF ratings: And one special one for the Packers:
  2. I don't know why I keep starting these. For some reason, the Bears open as 5 point favorites.
  3. I was just looking at the 2015 schedule to see if we might catch a break and have a fluke year to contend, and realized that we have to play the NFC and AFC Wests, possibly the 2 best divisions in football. Granted, looking at next years schedule during week 10 of the previous season, its impossible to determine just how easy or hard the schedule will be but way in advance it looks like it will be very difficult, with the exception of playing the last place teams in the south (TB) and east (Washington)
  4. definitely this seeing as a large majority of our core is over 30, and the team is certain to be broken up over the next couple of offseasons. In 2007 we had injuries that made our defense suck and our offense was pretty below average, but we still had a very good defense with its skill players in their primes, and were playing in a league where having an above average D and a halfway decent offense with a good running game was still good enough to be a contender. This was a veteran team put together to win this year or next year or be broken apart and stripped down. That's not to say we don't have young talent on this team, because we do, but its not like 2007 (at least I dont think so at this point) where we had Urlacher, Briggs, Tillman, Tommie Harris, Mike Brown, Alex Brown, Idonije, Ogunleye as a core. Obviously some didn't work out, some got old quicker, but I'm trying to look at it from how I felt in 2007.
  5. This is the best because @BaseballsBestFans would have a field day retweeting Cardinals fans justifying the child porn dungeon
  6. Embrace the fun bad! Although this is pretty much peak anger. From here it quickly turns to apathy until the season ends. Sucks because I was looking forward to the 5 out of 6 home game stretch all year and when it finally gets here the team is dead.
  7. Your feelings tend to change when you give up 106 points in 2 games. I said all along if he lost the team and/or the team bottoms out he is on the hot seat but most likely he'd be back. He's not taking the most likely route right now.
  8. Records set or tied tonight: Most points allowed in a half: 42 (previous record was 38 set last week) Most points allowed in a game: 55 (tied) Most passing TDs allowed in a game: 6 Most points allowed in back-to-back games: 106 (previous record was 87 set in W16-17 last year) Close: Most yards penalized in a game: 163 (2nd all time, record was 170)
  9. I'm mad the Packers are probably going into victory formation unless they get a TD on this set of downs. I want to see them get to 62
  10. yeah i really should go to bed, but I really want to hear him and cutler speak.
  11. Well from Trestman's perspective, the potential net gain to his job security from his team scoring some garbage time points is not worth the potential disaster of one of his highly paid offensive stars suffering a serious injury during meaningless football.
  12. Officials are going to review to make sure no Bears committed a penalty on that play because they had to have.
  13. Devin He- I mean Chris Williams, you are...not ridiculous, still bad. But nice return.
  14. You know for years I saw that 1980 game where the Bears won 63-7 and wondered how the hell one of these teams could beat the other by such a large margin in this rivalry. And now it makes sense today.
  15. Marginally worse than being down 30 points and seeing your #1 DE suffer an injury.
  16. Why are any of them in? I'm not just saying that because im in a close fantasy matchup and my opponent has cutler. this is ridiculous. that looked like a really bad injury on first viewing.
  17. Yup, playing the starters in the 4th quarter of a 41 point game, and Marshall just fucked up his knee and it doesn't look good. Nice job Trestman!
  18. Cutler throws incomplete intended for Davon House, almost intercepted by Alshon Jeffery.
  19. Add our punter to the list of Bears having a bad night. Why am I still watching this?
  20. More records to watch!
  21. McCarthy is challenging a 3 yard completion inside his own 20 yard line in a 48-7 game? And he's not even going to win. What a douche.
  22. i think both trestman and chris williams are finding oot the NFL is a little more difficult than the CFL.
