Why not? Because it puts Emerys job status in question or because the bears are cheap? Those are the only 2 reasons I see. I think Trestman has far surpassed those concerns with his ineptitude

Doubt Trestman gets fired. His team is a [expletive] train wreck with embarrassing mental gaffes on a regular basis not to mention several historic blowouts on national TV. His offense sucks despite 65% of their payroll going to them. He makes increasingly questionable coaching decisions and can no longer manage to explain them anymore. One of his players tore his ACL celebrating a sack while his team was losing by 35 points with less than 2 minutes left. He team screwed themselves out of an undeserved playoff berth two seperate times, once by refusing to pick up a live ball that was returned for a TD another because on the most critical play of the season one of his players was playing zone while the rest of the defense was playing man to man. Oh and after all the criticism about not picking that fumble up, the Bears managed to lose another game this year by a TD when his special teams guys...did not pick up a live ball that was returned for a TD. His special teams went from one of the best in the NFL to one of the worst immediately after he took over. His defense went from one of the best in the league to one of the worst immediately after he took over. His defense did not hold an opponent under 20 points for the entire 2013 season for the first time in Bears history. His defense allowed the most rushing yards in team history. Before he took over the Bears allowed 50 points in a game 3 times in their 80 year history. Trestmans teams allowed 50+ points 3 times in his first 25 games. Despite being a QB whisperer, his million dollar talented QB hasn't noticeably improved during his tenure. He was outplayed by his journeyman backup enough that the fans wanted the Bears to choose that bum over Cutler. His QB currently leads the NFL in turnovers. I could keep going all night. I am actually a person that prefers continuity with coaches but Trestman is so blatantly over matched there is no way Emery can pose a logical argument to defend a decision for him to return for a 3rd season. I get that by firing him: a) Emery would have a huge egg on his face and put his own job in question and b) the cheap ass McKaskeys would have to eat 2 years of Trestmans contract but I think it's way too obviously that bringing Trestman back is going to guarantee another disastrous season and a bigger embarrassment to Emery and the Bears.

Dude let Sulley handle the only my teams business. No one [expletive] cares that the Cowboys scored on that play instead of the next one.

I am going to enjoy the [expletive] out of Trestman, Tucker and Decamillis getting canned. Will be so satisfying. Sorry for anyone who thinks you shouldn't celebrate another person to get fired. I hate this entire coaching staff.

My reaction to that play "Oh wow we might sack Romo out of FG range! Ahh man he's scrambling and about to throw it away at least we will hold them to a FG, oh what the [expletive] [expletive]"

Sorry Conte that was only the 8th most embarrassing defensive gaffe this year. You're going to have to try harder than that.

Like the one against Carolina that cost them the game? The dude has barely ever fumbled in his career and he has been our best offensive player this season. What were you expecting?

4 special teams plays and all of them have been bad. Way under kicked KO returned to 30, dumb penalty on punt, nearly disasterous non-fair catch on the next punt and the a blocked punt on this latest one. Come the hell on

Then our punt returner tries to return a punt with a Cowboy breathing on him as he makes the catch. Please get rid of DeCamillis after this year.

So hard to predict in the NFL. The Bears are definitely trending downward and they are playing probably the 2 toughest divisions in football next year (AFC and NFC West) but with a good draft and some luck they could make it next year. More realistically Jeffery, Long and Fuller will be on that team. Not sure who else.

How does a special teams guy not know that you can't be the first one to touch the ball after running out of bounds? I'm sick of all the stupid unnecessary mental gaffes.
