  1. Love that dude. For every Morin that doesn't pan out there is a Saad to make up for it.
  2. Also if anyone lives in the Chicago area and has cable, all CSN Bulls games are available on the NBC Sports Extra app. Pretty cool to be able to watch the Bulls when I'm out and about.
  3. I don't know do we have any prospects named Matt Morris or Woody Williams?
  4. Hawks now have 5 Sweedish defensemen on their roster
  5. Anyone know anything about the guy they got back? Can he slide into a 6th or 7th D role?
  6. could use a fresh coat of ms paint. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Good point
  7. don't judge us by umfan Yeah judge us by Slide Castro Slide
  8. I thought Polians role in the Colts success was largely discredited. I also thought I remembered hearing he is really old school in his philosophies.
  9. Will do! Thanks :) That place is an embarrassment. I would like to start my own but I really don't have the time. I will take that last part as a compliment! I truly believe that our teams have the two best FOs in the MLB. I think we fire Donnie Baseball and hire Tito Francona next year. Then it's only a matter of time before we are both winning Word Series titles. Here's to the annual Cubs-Dodgers NLCS's to go along with the annual Hawks-Kings WCF series
  10. I can only speak for myself but I'm only messing around. Granted I don't particularly like the dodgers but happy to have any fans here talking baseball, didn't mean to drive you off Haha it's all good man. I am too. I never intended on being a regular here but I'm not here to troll either. There hasn't been an active Dodgers forum in years. I thought we could talk in peace since both of our teams dominated the winter meetings. I was genuinely happy that you guys got Lester. Whatever happened to DodgerBlues forum? I used to love DodgerBlues

  12. Someone do the work for me and come up with an offseason scenario that gets the Bears into the playoffs next year. Or is it not worth it and we should strip down and go on a 1-3 year rebuild? IMO this team needs a short rebuild. Is Cutler the QB who is going to start your next playoff game? Maybe but I don't think he's the QB you are going to build your next multi-year contender with. Need work at pretty much every position group and the only positions you can say we are "set" at for the next 2 years (pretty much RB and WR) are led by players over 30 years old so not really long term building blocks. They are pretty much the opposite of the Cubs right now who have above average management, and young potential stars at every position and great payroll flexibility.
  13. While I agree we could use an upgrade at SF, I think McDermott will end up being a fine pick.
  14. Will he be getting reps these last few weeks?
  15. Sorry, not fraternizing with you. You guys ruined the greatest season in our lifetimes and I will never forgive you. I hope we play you the next time we make the playoffs and sweep you in 3 games. Haha that's like holding a grudge against Marlins fans (besides the obnoxious Marlins Man) for what they did to you in 03'. 2008 didn't end well for the Dodgers either and we aren't very proud of anything with Manny Ramirez name on it. Uhh yeah we do hold a grudge against the stupid Marlins. When you haven't won in 100+ years you tend to hold a lot of grudges...
  16. They need to get their defensive swagger back though. It's just not there.

  18. Derrick Rose is back, and I won't get called out for all the negative things I said or times I doubted him, I can just enjoy it
  19. From Simmons article: Maybe I'm being a homer but I'm surprised the Bears aren't on that list. -Storied history? George Halas pretty much founded the entire NFL, kept the Packers in business, coached the team in 40 of their first 47 seasons, won 6 championships. Overall the Bears have the second most championships in the NFL, the most wins in the NFL, the most Hall of Famers in the NFL, etc. Major points deduced for only 1 championship in the Super Bowl era, but "storied" goes well beyond just championships. Maybe he's heavily weighing on recent success here because the Steelers were the absolute laughing stock of the NFL until the 1970's If I had to rank the Bears with those other 5 teams and assigned a 40/60 weight to past/current success I'd say 1. Packers 2. Giants 3. Redskins 4. Bears 5. Cowboys (who don't even have a past success before the 60's) 6. Steelers -Recognizability of it's uniform/logo/name. Maybe not as recognizable as GB or Dallas, but certainly the Bears logo and uniforms are up there with the other 3 -Breadth/Passion/Support of a multi-general fan base and its weight/power/influence compared to the other local teams in its city. This is where the Bears should absolutely dominate. The Bears are Chicago sports. When the Bears are good, nothing else is talked about amongs fans/media. Bears talk dominates the airwaves pretty much all year. Many fans would take a Bears title over every other Chicago team (pick your preferred baseball team) winning a title that same year. Can you say the same thing about the Giants, whose fans are typically Yankees/Knicks/Rangers fans? Stupid to argue a freaking Bill Simmons opinion but since he doesn't allow commenting on his articles on grantland I wanted to respond here.
  20. That is the quote I don't get in the article. So, the Sox are committed to bigtime spending by signing a closer and trading for a guy that they have a good chance of NOT spending money on (50/50 shot they lose Shark)... but the Cubs spend 155m on a bonafide ace and are hiding under the bed? They also signed LaRoche (2/$25) and Zach Duke (3/$15)
  21. That's what I keep reading. And Kromer was shakey and expected to just make a statement and then everyone would ask him about the Saints.
  22. Since Lester is in Chicago, do we have any idea when the press conference will be? I'm assuming he'll spend the weekend in the city and maybe a PC on Monday?
  23. So the Cubs are going to be affiliated with CBS (780 AM), ABC (WLS), NBC (Comcast Sportsnet Chicago) and likely the Tribune Company (WGN)
