  1. Completely unacceptable. horsefeathers I hate football
  2. Underthrown but still nice find downfield
  3. Pretty much the franchise slogan at this point.
  4. Looking like Justin Fields out there with the constant scrambling. Difference is he’s not necessarily looking to run forward.
  5. Glad we have a QB that shows promise but yeah this team might not be what we hoped (overreaction to a bad 1st quarter probably..hopefully)
  6. Was Sweat even on the injury report? Yikes. By far the best pass rusher, starting nickel, starting safety, starting LT. All with the season “on the line” (not really but still) and the coaching staff under fire. Gonna be fun
  7. thats the right question to ask. but i dont know, its pile on Flus week though so I'm all for it lol
  8. Get your house in order Flus
  9. I'll still take Caleb over Jayden but figures that the Commanders are the fun sexy team that players want to go to while we're falling apart over here with players questioning the coach, etc. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/42154288/sources-players-want-traded-commanders-deadline
  10. A national championship!
  11. It turns out the Bears would have been a much better choice for the in season version of Hard Knocks instead of the training camp version. Camp was so drama free, but anything but once the season started.
  12. Oh look it’s Lou Piniella
  13. The thing that bothers me the most is that we had 3 TOs. If you see the sideline views, it looks like Eberflus wanted to adjust to protect the sidelines but just let it play out. Same thing with the Hail Mary. Call a TO, remind your defense to do things like pay attention when the ball is snapped instead of taunting fans, or we don't need a spy on this play, rush the QB, etc. But nope, we ended the game with 3 timeouts. And then when asked about it instead of taking accountability he tried to make it seem like he did all the right stuff there, it just didnt work out.
  14. I think they're better than 7-10 but not much better. I am not sure if you would call the defensive performance poor...maybe you're right. They gave up 430ish yards before the hail mary, and while you can say "bend but don't break" the fact is they got a bit fortunate in not allowing a TD until the final play...believe Ertz had a questionable catch/no catch call in the end zone, there was another catch in the end zone with the WR only getting 1 foot in, and another easy TD called back due to a penalty that I don't think affected the play (could be wrong). It was actually the most yards Washington has gained in a game this year, but the least number of points they have scored. Very strange. Anyways getting off topic. They'll win 1-2 of the games in the gauntlet and hopefully win the next 2 but I'm not confidently predicting a win in any game coached by Eberflus. But I see 8-9 or 9-8 being our destiny.
  15. Follow up to my post about Hamp and OB yesterday, WGN actually posted video of them seeing them celebrate the win then witnessing the hail mary in real time:
  16. Someone on Reddit has a someone told someone told someone rumor that Bill Murray has a torn pec. Obviously grain of salt rumor but would be weird to make up a rumor about the injury severity of a Bears offensive lineman https://old.reddit.com/r/CHIBears/comments/1geuf68/close_family_friend_knows_the_murrays_bill_has_a/
  17. Wow...do any of you ever listen to Hamp and O'B's postgame shows on WGN? If you do, you'll know these guys are humongous meatballs and spend half the show yelling about how horrible everything is, even when the Bears win. It's entertaining even if some of their rants are questionable. Anyways, they started their postgame show before the Hail Mary.... you have Hamp talking about how the Bears played awful but is pleased they managed to come away with the win. And then in real time they saw the hail mary happen and the vibe changed very quickly. It's a very entertaining listen in a sad/painful way.... Hamp & O’B: What the hail was that? Bears stunned on last second touchdown | WGN Radio 720 - Chicago's Very Own The realization comes at about 1:16 into the podcast
  18. How is it not a thing? I mean sure pay him for the game as normal but you simply don't play him in the first quarter/half of the game.
  19. 4th straight year of playing them too. 2022 we had a very similar game to yesterday...it was actually also 12-7 late in the 4th quarter, but on 4th and goal from the 4, Fields threw a pass to Mooney that went 3.95 yards and they lost (which is somehow less painful than actually getting the TD and then giving up a hail mary for the L). Last year we blew them out by 20 in one of Justin's best passing games as a Bear (282 yards, 4 TD, 0 INT, 125.3 QB rating....though 15-29 passing 😄)
  20. Yep, I'm not giving up him either. He's had some issues but has showed a lot of promise as a DB. But this is absolutely not an isolated incident, I believe he's had a couple of other personal fouls and some pretty glaring defensive miscues. All things I chalked up to being a rookie last year, but they definitely do add up over time and eventually he's got a reputation for making boneheaded plays. I know the secondary is banged up, but he needs to be suspended the first quarter or half of next week to make a point about accountability.
  21. According to Silvy, the combined chances of the Bears blowing the Denver game, the Detroit game, the Cleveland games last year and the Washington game were roughly 1 in 1,000,000
  22. Every coach has their own type of coach speak that you get used to. If they're not a good coach it eventually gets on your nerves. Flus' coach speak is there for me right now.
  23. Yeah I saw that. And then explained that he was just cheering with Bears fans in the corner, not taunting Commanders fans. So much better. Dude will recover but he'll never live down the colossal f up on that play.
  24. $20 per month...per team. Obvious the goal is to drive the Chicago sports fan to the $300 per year thing or at the very least $30 per month (if you aren't a Sox fan, watching the Bulls and Blackhawks would be $240 a year with the $30 bundle from Oct - April). The problem is the teams involved are all terrible. Maybe if they can't get a deal done with XFinity they will be motivated to put better teams out there to drive up subscriptions to the app.
