  1. I hate the Dodgers so much but that was so incredible. Truly an all time World Series Classic moment that will be played over and over again for years.
  2. Interesting, Velus is finally gone
  3. Gordon and Brisker both ruled out for Sunday. Now you have to wondering if this is going to be a very long term thing with Brisker having sat out a month. Hope everything is ok with him.
  4. Now just need to beat Washington, have the Lions lose to Tennessee and the Packers lose to Jacksonville and we’ll be tied for 1st after this weekend. Super easy 😂
  5. Still waiting on that Sam Darnold regression
  6. Like TT pointed out he's not usually super accurate on the teams, but I find it interesting that the only time the Cubs are mentioned as a fit are for Bellinger and Blake Treinen lol
  7. For the record, here is Puntalytics updated metrics for punters:
  8. Hey when you have Talen Horton-Tucker and Julian Phillips on your team you have to play them. But seriously this team is so poorly built. What an awful game by Pat Williams who the Bulls just gave $90m to.
  9. I just realized that the next 2 games are on the road. This coming after a game in London (considered a home game) and a bye. So the Bears will have gone from October 6th to November 10th without playing a game at Soldier Field. We are at the exact midpoint of that 34 day stretch today. The high on October 6th was 76 degrees. The average high on November 10th is 43. So basically it will have gone from summer to almost winter between true home games.
  10. Meh, Trenton Gill was cut after 3 disastrous games with the Bucs this year. He might not be special and there might have been better usage of that 4th round pick but at least he's an upgrade. Not saying that makes it ok to use one of our 4 (later 5) draft picks in the draft on a punter but it could probably be worse?
  11. 3-0 during this stretch and we're looking at needing to go at least 3-5 down the stretch to have a shot. Definitely a big 3 games that we need to take advantage of to make our lives easier down the stretch.
  12. I really hope Daniels plays. Want to see him and Caleb go back and forth trying to outdo the other. Surprised the Bears are 3 point favorites, but I guess it makes sense without knowing if Daniels is going to play, even though their backup put up most of those 40 points they scored. Feels weird being excited about a mid-season Bears game but here we are!
  13. It really is crazy how great the rookie class is looking so far. Caleb and Jayden have looked like future top QBs. Nix after a slow start is solid if not spectacular. Maye showed a lot of promise in his first start, albeit with some mistakes. Even JJ threw 3 TD passes in his first preseason game including a couple of bombs before getting hurt and lost for the season. Rattler hasn't been *good*, but looks much more competent than your average 5th round rookie
  14. It’s probably because Bears fans have never rooted for a good QB. We’ve seen them on other teams but it’s different when it’s your guy and you’re watching them closely. Funny that you seem to want people to feel stupid for agreeing with you now. Just take a victory lap and let it go
  15. ive been loving reading these this week and I think they're spot on observations. Going from Fields who was completely indecisive and had issues with slow processing time to this is quite jarring in the best way possible. Since I've never really rooted for a great QB at the pro level, it is hard to understand what really makes a great QB but when you actually see it in front of you it just kind of clicks, and as you pointed out you start to understand how hollow many of the excuses we've made for QBs in the past are (WR can't get open, OL can't block, etc). I always wondered why the Patriots rarely invested a ton into WRs when Brady was in his prime. Obviously they had Moss for a couple of years but there were many years where it was Welker or Edelmann and some scraps. I'm guessing even though Brady would bitch about getting new WRs, the Patriots knew they didn't need them (at least because they were paying Brady so much). Same thing with Rodgers after they traded Adams and of course now with Maholmes, though Maholmes is really struggling this season. But at the end of the day, the Chiefs could afford to trade away Hill and still continue winning Super Bowls. The Bears will have to make those types of tough decisions in a couple of years, but for now lets take advantage of the rookie contract while we can and ball out.
  16. Holy moly. I didn’t expect to win in Mexico with our B- team but that was a bad beat down.
  17. It's looking like the Steelers are surprisingly going to start Russell Wilson. Guess they really dont want to give the Bears that 4th Edit: looks like I was just beaten lol
  18. Definitely a quality win, though looking at Corsi tells me that it was a pretty fortunate outcome for the Hawks. I'll take them however we can get them though.
  19. Yessss JT made his breakdown of Caleb free this week
  20. Easily my favorite too. As I said at the time, in that situation I’m so used to thinking “agh it’s 3rd and goal from the 9, oh well at least we’ll get 3 here as long as they don’t throw an INT.” Outside of a few times here and there, the Bears were locked out from being able to succeed in these situations. It’s an adjustment (a very fun adjustment) to realize that we have a QB that can beat you in just about every way possible.
  21. All the teams in the North look scary in their own way, but yeah at their best Detroit looks pretty fearsome. That said, Dallas kind of sucks this year so not the best gauge.
  22. He seems to cause that to happen a lot.
  23. Also And that was before the Packers won by 21 and the Lions leading by 28
  24. Live best point differentials in the entire NFL Minnesota + 63 Detroit +50 (game in progress) Chicago +47 Green Bay +41 Tampa Bay +37 Buffalo leads the AFC at +36
