    And they’ll be right more frequently than they should be. meanwhile Jed still picking up marginal guys to try to find lightning in a bottle (I know he doesn’t have a ton of options at this point, but that’s what the offseason was for)

    The holes on this Cub team are being exposed again. If only we had enough money for a better 3B and bullpen

    I can't tell if I hate the modern NBA simply because the Bulls have sucked and been irrelevant during this entire era or because I don't like the style of basketball. It might be both....because the Bulls have sucked Ive followed the NBA less and less. When I do put it on, it looks completely different than the basketball I remember. I kind of liked it when the Golden State era started because what they were doing looked so different than everyone else, but now the its the norm I don't enjoy it. But then again, the era before that was just star guards going iso and drawing fouls all game so that wasn't particularly beautiful basketball either. But I do miss post play and turnaround jumpers.

    I could definitely see the official scorer changing it to an error.

    As much as I rail on Jed, acquiring 2 of the 5 best hitters in baseball (Tucker and Kelly) over a 24 hour span is pretty impressive.

    I think Pat said on the radio that the most combined runs in an inning is 19. We “only” combined for 16

    Not as cool but in the last 2 games the Cubs have played Arizona they’ve scored 9 runs in the 8th inning combined. And split those games.

    But the funny thing is, Turner has to hit for Workman because he’s likely even more overmatched than Turner. Workman was brought in for defense and made the critical error to blow the lead. Holes all over the place.

    Definitely feels like a Mancini/Hosmer move even though it shouldn’t

    Just in the months of September 2023, March/April 2024, May 2024 and March/April 2025 I believe we’ve lost 16 different games where we had the lead in the 8th inning or later edit: I for some reason thought it was the bottom of the 9th so I assumed a loss here. I guess it’s closer now

    Part of me feels like Jed built this team with glaring holes on purpose to stick it to Ricketts on the way out. 3B is a disaster, our rotation depth is already being tested, we have no good pen arms. But we saved $25m on payroll this year so that’s nice

    Well this will be the 4th game this year the Cubs had a lead in the 8th inning or later and lost if they don’t come back

    Glad Jed built a pen that is deep and full of options in Iowa.

    I believe the last time the United Center hosted a Bulls or Blackhawks game in the month of May or later was 10 years ago when the Hawks won the Cup at the UC. Pathetic.

    I was looking at Friday at least, it doesn’t look like the rain is starting until the evening. Should be mid to upper 70s at game time. Saturday actually currently has a dry window from 1-4 (obv things can change)

    Rea, Brown and Taillon going against Burnes, Gallen and Kelly this weekend. DBacks red hot too, on their way to winning 6 of their last 7. Hopefully we can cool them down
